SONGS BY CANDLE LIGHT - 11th Dec 8pm-9.30pm Supporting & raising funds for @warchilduk This Christmas 🙏🏻🕯️🎶

Stars of stage & screen @petercaulfield & @brontebarbe Come to Crystal Palace Triangle to perform an intimate evening of songs by candle light @brownandgreencafe 8pm - 9.30pm (@eventbrite ticket link in their bio)

Come to the beautiful ‘Brown & Green cafe’ for an intimate evening event of live music - from musical shows, to festive tunes and soulful classics. Songs to help you reflect on the year just past, and remember the countless war torn child victims accross the globe who need our attention and generosity especially this time of year.

All profits from the night will go to @warchilduk who believe just like me No child should be a victim part of war. Ever.
In conflict zones everywhere from Gaza to the Democratic Republic of Congo, to Sudan and Ukraine children's lives are being torn apart by violence and fighting. Using their 30 years of experience and proven methods, they aim to reach children as quickly as possible when conflict breaks out and stay long after the cameras have gone to support them through their recovery.

So come and join us: Music will be played by the brilliant @nigelilley an acclaimed musical director & musical supervisor, with an impressive array of credit on TV and stage.

Bronte is a beautifully talented performer - with leading roles in Newsies, Carol King & Shreck the musical as well as a host of TV credits.

Peter a leading vocalist himself, staring in Too Wong Foo, Tammy Faye, Into the woods, Jesus Christ Superstar as well as a host of TV shows and is a song writer - who may also play an original song especially for the event.

We look forward to welcoming you with a warm musical hug on the 11th.

Had our first #preview tonight of Here We Are at The National here in #London. Pictured here are our theatre, the #Lyttleton and our Musical Director and my personal guru, @nigelilley

I haven’t posted much here lately because it’s been weeks of truly all-consuming work. This isn’t an easy piece, as anyone who saw it in New York knows. I want to clarify what I posted earlier, because my original phrasing made it seem like I was being negative: The process has been at times uncomfortable, totally unfamiliar, and exhausting. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever worked on, and David Ives’ book is as much an impeccable piece of music as Sondheim’s score. Joe and Sam are leading us through it with as much grace and patience as any actor could hope for. The company is absolutely incredible, and we’ve bonded amazingly and completely, and we have each other, and a real love of working together. It’s been one of the most nourishing and joyful experiences of my working life.

To premiere, in London, Sondheim’s final work, is really something. The audience tonight was incredible. It’s a ridiculous privilege, as well, to be at the National. It’s easily the greatest place I’ve ever worked in the theater. I cannot say enough about the place.

Anyway, there’s so many things…art, fun, music, laughs, make-em-ups, wigs, orchestras, ugly dressing rooms, beauty, false eyelashes, weird bruises that appear out of nowhere, sopranos, strangers in the dark laughing, discordant phrases, clever rhymes, experiments of geniuses to live and fight for. Keep up the fight. For the sake of all of it. To create a life worth living. @nationaltheatre @jessetyler @chumisa.dmay @ohdenis @snozzles @traciebennett001 @pamstinkleton @harry_hadden_paton @herewearemusical @joe_mantello @rfleeshman @misterdavidzinn @robpickens @billybcreative @butterworthjack @amiramatthews #artheals #theatertheatrelife #musicaltheatre

Camino del Norte days 8-14: Bilbao to San Vicente de La Barquera. Town fiestas and my very own birthday fiesta with new Camino friends… a very joyous reunion in Santander with Raoul from my 2nd Camino… beautiful examples of Arquitectura-Indiana along as we passed through Cantabria … Now switching inland to the Primitivo Route and on to Santiago - but first to a friend’s concert in San Sebastián as a birthday treat.
