We are soooo back with issue 3 (which is actually issue 4??) of LAAB, everyone’s favorite experimental comics newspaper. This time, we’re exploring the number three—from the holy trinity to the ménage à trois. The erotic, the sacred, the profane, the 1970s sitcom all exist in “Three’s Company”.
In addition to designing the publication with @chloescheffe, I wrote and illustrated hundreds of fake and not-so-fake ads which live amongst and contextualize the beautiful work by an all-star contributor list.
Thanks to Ron and Josh, this is one of my favorite things I get to do with my time. Available at Beehive Books.
17 x 22”, printed on off-white newsprint, black and white with a red spot color, & holographic sticker.

Creative direction and design for “look good, feel good, play good”, the first book to chart a visual history of women’s sportswear, and the key role that Nike has played in it over the last 50 years.
The book visualizes the relationship between women and the garments they wear through five design archetypes from sporting history: warm-ups, jerseys, leggings, sport bras, and shorts.

Getting around to showing some projects from the last few years🫡
Brand design for Newlab (2023), a science and technology incubator based in the Brooklyn Navy Yard (and now with four additional hubs). Newlab runs commercialization programs for critical technology by providing access to technical labs, prototyping capabilities, and real-world testbeds.
We aimed to make Newlab stand out in a sea of friendly and homogenous tech identities: Newlab’s weird grassroots spirit, support of the collective, breadth of interest, and sense of mystery are its greatest strengths.

From The Dying Issue (No.1) of @elastic.mag

Elastic, the print magazine of psychedelic art and literature. The first issue, on the theme of dying, features fifty contributors. 176 lush pages filled with work that bends time and space and perspective.
Serving as the creative directors and editorial designers, @chloescheffe and I aimed to create a bizarre experience in the hand and the eye. Scans of paper reprinted as faux backgrounds, hand-painted photo collages cosplaying as digital renders, and a typographic palette from @commercialtype @205tf & @abcdinamo resulted in our kookiest magazine to date. Scoop it up over at @elastic.mag
