Myra is an international star who happens to be on faculty up the hill at UC Berkeley. She plays solo in the Bay Area *very rarely*, so take advantage of this special opportunity to hear one of the leading voices in modern jazz in our intimate hall.

Expect breathtaking improvisation, original composition, and nods to some of her jazz heroes — woven through a captivating range of artistic influences, from visual art to literature.

Myra will sit down with Jazzschool Executive Director Lisa Mezzacappa for a pre-concert talk about teaching improvisation, drawing inspiration from art and culture as a composer, and the special nature of solo performance.
