I’m experimenting with edits. Many will say, this is too long.
Welp, yall can keep scrolling. The last few weeks have been busy. @theneighborhoodkidsmusic @reserartscenter for #rhythmandrevolution Then @mobrulebeats and I rocked with GZA the night before I left for #tanzania to work with @michaelndosi_ @emma_maasai @kiloriti and @offical_mamacharlottesmusic2 and many other wonderful people. I got to see the old homie who moved his family away from the mess to be blessed and do more than I can really fit into words at the moment but know, your bro is Standing on Business to the fullest. Enjoy the images. Power to the people standing on what’s right and good. Happy birthday to Malcolm X and bless the journey of the martyrs and power to the healing of their families and the Ummah.

I have the kind of feeling in my heart that is hard to describe. I've been coming to Tanzania annually since 2014. In 2018 I met an artist named Kiloriti Maasai. He pitched an idea to me and I partnered with him to develop in into being. His hard work was documented by our good brother and film maker Emma Maasai. Today, Kilomengi Banana Farm and Kilomengi local foods is one of the most breathtakingfarms and food security projects I know of. Blessing flow, give thanks. So many hardworking people made this possible, thank you for your leadership and commitment Ombeni Jackson Mollel, thank you for your essential support and collaboration Emma Maasai.
Its important to note that Education Without Education WithOut Borders and the Full Moon Foundation made this possible. It’s important to know that The Afrikan HipHop Caravan through the efforts of comrades like Anele, Khusta (RIP) and Soundz of the South, made this possible. Without the support of EWOB and the foundation laid by the Caravan, Kilo and I would have never met.
When I reflect on Hip Hop making this possibe, I know that Africa the Earth, her land and her people, be we home or in the diaspora make this possibe and as always, God is greater. For as much evil and nonsense as we endure and contend with, there is abundant good.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of my group Animal Farm’s album Culture Shock (released May 17, 2011). I produced this album in its entirety, and it features my friend @brolicarm (Rob Swift), as well as Talib Kweli, Abstract Rude, and more.
Feels like a lifetime ago. We were making music, touring, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else with our lives. Some could call it a failure since we never “made it” in the traditional sense. But learning to do everything with a DIY mentality, gave us skills that became foundational as I built my career in the industry, from getting our own press (we’re really from that blog era), landing radio play, designing our own graphics, booking our own shows, pressing up CDs and selling them out the trunk, locking in distribution, and so much more.
We slept on couches, floors, wherever we could find, as we embraced every part of the come up, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I know I could never do it again, but I miss those days. And I miss those moments with my guys @hanifwondir @furytheabominable @miccrenshaw @serge_severe @djwels @poison.kwills__prim8s
