From hospitality venues to retail, offices and community hubs, Kick builds commercial spaces with purpose.

Our recent fit-out for @jardanfurniture at @banksiadrive is a great example. Designed by @ifarchitecture and project managed by @amicusspaces, the fit-out features staged and ramped recycled blackbutt flooring, travertine tiling, and a dramatic 7m-high raked skylight.

Kick managed every detail, right down to the integration of client-supplied lighting and furniture, to ensure the space aligned seamlessly with the architectural vision.

Work in Progress /

Rammed earth walls going in this week at our Possum Creek project.

This process involves compacting layers of soil, sand, and gravel within formwork, creating dense, monolithic structures. Each layer is compressed under immense pressure, resulting in walls that are both durable and naturally insulating.

The raw, stratified finish reflects the materials and craftsmanship behind it — solid, timeless, and built to last.

A new chapter begins on Bundjalung Country.

We’re proud to share that Kick Building has been engaged to deliver the Aboriginal Cultural and Education Centre for the Bundjalung Tribal Society at Alstonville.

A place dedicated to culture, learning, and community.

Years of vision from the Bundjalung Tribal Society, brought one step closer with the recent signing alongside Hunter Boorn.

We’re honoured to be building it.

More to come as we break ground

Kick Building has entered a new chapter.

What began in the residential space has evolved into a practice delivering commercial, community and culturally significant projects across the Northern Rivers, and we’re proud to keep growing alongside the region.

This growth called for a brand identity with more depth. One that reflects our mission of building legacy for people and place, alongside our commitment to support our community and Country.

Our refreshed visual system brings a refined, design-led approach that reinforces our desire to continually raise the standard of professionalism and project delivery across the Northern Rivers and beyond.

Our new logo was rebuilt by deconstructing our initials into geometric forms and reassembling them into an architectural mark. This approach reflects the way we work: considered, structured and grounded in our environment.

Supporting the logo is a flexible suite of shapes and assets that brings consistency across digital and print, alongside a colour palette informed by the landscapes we work within. The identity is designed to move and adapt beyond a fixed form, adding energy and variation across the system.

As we move forward, our goal remains clear: to build responsibly, work with integrity and create projects that benefit our region. This is the work we’re proud to stand behind, and the legacy we are here to build.

Thanks to @studio______94 for working with us on our new brand strategy and identity

We take pride in who we are and how we work.

Every project is carried through with careful planning, intention and deep respect for our clients, community and the landscape we build in.

Great work is the result of a considered process, strong teamwork and attention to detail.

This week, we’re sharing more about what that looks like for Kick and what we’ve been building behind the scenes.

Thanks to @tomblessing.studio for capturing some of our latest projects

A one-off apartment within one of Byron Bay’s landmark art deco buildings has been reimagined in collaboration with designer @tamsinjohnson.

Stainless steel benches reinterpret the cascading forms of mid-century stonework, while bathrooms are shaped with rounded walls and detailed with traditional fixtures in polished metal. Every light is vintage, sourced and collected to bring depth and character into the home.

The result is a modern classic, a contemporary take on traditional building that will stand the test of time.
