I accidentally made an “action hero’s dead wife flashback montage” out of some of the many clips that Stephen took of me this past year. I usually find these moments while slogging through terabytes of footage after a job.
Reminders of what it looks like to be loved and to be in love. And how much easier it is to love yourself through someone else’s eyes.
I love this woman I’ve become, this girl I’ve always been. Somehow all existing all at once. I’ve grown a lot in the past few years, and I’m proud of all the ways I showed up as myself, especially in this last year.
Cheers to another year of being here, and hopefully making more beautiful things, and finding more hidden moments of love nestled within them.

My baby sister is getting married next year and this weekend we celebrated by being with the best group of chaotic and incredible women at the beach. We laughed way too late into the night, yapped for hours in the pool, and swam in the ocean until the fish got too friendly 😂 I love you all 🧡

Every year I make it to August, barely clinging to the fraying edges of myself. The months before it somehow containing too much and not enough. In complete honesty, the last few years I get to the end of August and start dreading the cost. The travel, the jet lag, the work that piles up in my absence. The cost clouds my vision of the future and desaturates my memories of the past.
But there is something about this trip, in the countryside of England, that wakes me back up. That allows me to look up in the wild sky and know that there is more to life.
I love these people, I love this time together. The cost is always well worth it.

One year ago today we filmed the ending scene to our short film, Moon Cat. This day lives in my memory just as rose colored as this golden hour footage. It was a last minute decision tofilm this final scene, as you can tell from the chaos and the last minute changes but it was the perfect call. It was the only day we had all three main actors on set and our last night with our full crew. We wrapped early and shared a meal together and it highlights what this whole project was for us. A chance to make art with our friends. To all the people dreaming of doing ridiculous things, I believe in you. I hope you find the courage and the means to do it, I hope you have a group of your friends by your side every step of the way, and I hope it changes you the way it changed me. 💙💙

I can be a little too “in the moment” for this technological age and I get a little sad when I walk away from an experience with only my faulty memories. But even trying my best I only ended up walking away with these few clips.
Nonetheless this week at @riverrunfilm has been one for the books. We spent the week attending so many beautiful and hilarious films, and getting to know some really brilliant filmmakers.
So eternally proud of our little renegade movie, @moon_cat_film Getting to see our first project screened in a movie theater so like the one we grew up going to was an incredibly special experience. 🌙🐈‍⬛
