I’m not sure we will ever come down from the clouds on this night. Dreams do happen, friends. Dolly has been an inspiration to us and she is to the world. They say don’t meet your hero, but we did and we love her more now. THEN to be able to sing her songs FOR her was just unreal. I remember being side stage about to walk out to lead my first song and I could see her sitting in her box seats with her family and team, and I had butterflies beyond!🦋 (of course I had butterflies) God is kind and life is full of surprises for sure. Country music and lyrics have always been so important to us. This was one of the greatest honors to be on this premiere. And it’s just getting started! Come see us on the road. @derekdrye absolutely slayed acoustic, electric, dobro and slide guitar. To be on stage together was something only orchestrated by angels. In 2023, we (The Dryes) launched our first North Carolina songwriter’s round show, blending Nashville industry with NC talent, giving them a place to meet other artists to connect and be inspired. Some may say it’s been a long time coming but on February 7th, 2026 we will launch our first faith based writer’s round in our home state of Winston Salem, North Carolina at Pinedale Christian Church.
