Blasha & Allatt should be well known to Blitz regulars. The duo behind Manchester’s notorious Meat Free parties play seriously grooving Techno or to quote our colleagues from Dekmantel: an „expansive repertoire of techno, house, and on-point four-to-the-floor.“
Alongside them: Mohajer, Swedish-Persian and Gothenburg-raised, who arrived in Berlin years ago as a French electro devotee („I wasn't even into techno at the time“) and has since developed a driving, Techno, Tribal & House-leaning sound shaped by her Persian heritage. Her intimate, word-of-mouth party mp3 runs on trust rather than promotion: 200 people, three times a year. Our resident vince completes the Blitz floor on home turf.
Linking the BLITZ and PLUS floors is a quieter thread: Mohajer and Bashkka have both released on UMAY, Nene H's imprint for SWANA artists. On the PLUS floor, House music reigns as our resident Bashkka - the label's inaugural artist - brings her spectrum-spanning sound home, joined by Berlin's Jacques Janzen and Paul Hupfer from the Moving family and our good friend & Freeride Millenium's Jorkes, who once swapped a law degree for the DJ booth, with all the right reasons.

From the underground clubs of Vienna to the iconic dance floors of Panorama Bar and Bassiani, Jorkes has turned a decade of passion into a defining voice for the LGBTQIA+ community. Blending classic house, disco, and electro with raw, confrontational artistry, they tell stories of sexual liberation and multicultural connection.
Whether co-running the visionary @freeridemillenium label with lover, muse and partner Paris Böhm, curating vital compilations for @queerbasevienna , or spinning soulful sets at Romantica and Robert Johnson, every track transforms personal history into something unforgettable. For Jorkes, music is more than sound; it is a powerful medium for social advocacy, global dialogue, and turning lived experiences into art with lasting meaning.

Basement forever and ever: Last Saturday, I had the honor of closing the Studio at Basement — wow wow wow.
New York, you are something else. There’s a pulse here that goes beyond the music. It’s in the people, in the way differences are embraced, in the queerness, the wild and beautiful chaos, the openness, the empathy. It’s a city that doesn’t ask you to fit in — it asks you to be fully, unapologetically yourself. And in that, it creates something deeply human: community.
For 3.5 hours, I was dazed by the dancefloor. By the lovers who were making out, by the smiles, by the shared energy that just kept flowing. And especially by the dancers — your presence, your warmth, your glowing faces meant more than words can hold.
I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who showed up, who listened, who danced, who gave themselves to the moment. To the entire team — your hospitality, care, and dedication made this experience truly special.Thank you Kiko, Levan and Chichi. And to Tea and Gega: thank you for trusting me and making this possible. And to the legends playing that night: Sevyn, The Carry Nation, Schwefelgelb,KXAH and Ruiz Osc1.
I feel humbled by all this. And deeply grateful to have played in New York at a time that feels full of meaning — under a mayor like Zohran Mamdani, who represents hope, innovation, spirit, diversity, love, and solidarity. Everything that defines this city and everything that continues to make it a home for freedom-yearning people from all over the world, that see New York City as a beacon of light and hope.
New York, you reminded me why we do this.
Love you all. Xoxo

Xoxo
