Today’s atrocities have been centuries of reality for Black America. If learning about this is a shock and surprise to you, you simply never fully learned American history. This isn’t ancient history. My parents were my age when this happened. The lives of the survivors have been affected forever, with no accountability from the state.

The state sees no need for accountability because the state doesn’t see the harm. Acknowledging the evil of this would mean reckoning with the violent nature of the police. It would mean coming to terms with the inhumane treatment of black America. Accountability would mean dismantling and abolishing the police, and a relinquishing of the capital protected by the police.

IOF soldiers trained these agents of the state. And the agents of the state train the IOF. Two halves of the same coin. Freedom is everybody’s business

Today, we honor the lives cut short by the Philadelphia police department 41 years ago.

Guitar JER era

If you’ve seen the JER band, you know I normally just rock vocals, but this weekend, at @stoopfest I’ll be rocking guitar! Ricky had to sit this weekend out, and I didn’t wanna drop, so I been working on the guitar parts and tbh, been having HELLA FUN playing guitar and singing!
