To celebrate the launch of her new video work 'Grumpy' on @somersethousestudios online platform Channel, here's a selection of other projects that @no_sid and I have worked on together over the last 10 years(!)
Starting with the development of a series of uncompromising CG and VR works, back in 2013 at @werkflow_ , our research took us to some dark corners as we harvested and de-engineered misogynistic digital avatars and spent hours playing and screen-recording nausea inducing VR porn games designed by creepy YouTube, hunting influencers. In 2018 we took VR piece 'Dickgirl3D' to the Sundance Film Festival (where I almost froze to death outside of a Utah Airbnb) and then travelled to the RealDoll factory in LA to meet a Scottish Ai powered sex doll (and a lot of synthetic dicks hanging from hooks).
Towards the end of 2024 I led the digital technical team in developing 3D assets for WAX (premiered at @kioskgent) a life-sized wax sculpture inspired by Susini's anatomical Venus, which was to contain sculptural pieces ethically cast from a human medical specimen. @arcjustice digitally sculpted the beautiful containing figure which was then fabricated in Copenhagen and Italy by an incredible team of craftspeople using a mixture of 3D printing and traditional wax casting techniques. It was an immensely ambitious project but the resulting sculpture is gorgeous.
The latest in this body of works is Grumpy (2025), an animated film that @arcjustice and I have helped to develop with Sidsel for Somerset House, featuring a stunning animated interpretation of the anatomical figure. Watch it out now via @somersethousestudios Channel.

My game is live today on Steam. Go play it now if you have a gaming PC ❤️
Happy to announce that my new Brood Ma release Dadda is available to wishlist now on Steam 🧿
Follow the link in bio...
Dadda is a playable, visual album where the player
manipulates the limbs of a fragile automaton to shape a dynamic noise score.
The game is adapted for PC from software I built to perform at my live shows using a custom midi setup. The desktop version adds support for mouse, keyboard & xbox controllers 🎮
I’m releasing Dadda in early access on Steam in order to refine the final game based on player feedback - I've never opened up my creative process like this before but am excited to see how this might shape the project 🤖

Excited to be performing my new live av show 🌀dadda🌀 at @rammel_club with @sleigh.johnson and @ujbala on the 07-07-23 at the @the_chameleon_arts_cafe, Nottingham.

Dadda is a real-time av performance. It features an album's worth of new and improvisable Brood Ma material. The musical automaton at its center (Dadda) is controlled live as an accompaniment toa dynamic noise score.
Dadda tested really well at @iklectikartlab last month with @sdf_collective_industries in front of a live audience. I don't have any dates planned going forwards but if possible, I would love to tour or at least play again live through some big speakers before doing a digital release.
The release itself will be .exe (currently stable on 2080+ Nvidia GPUs on high quality) and Wav (recorded audio only) for those that prefer their music passive.
