🪜 Along the way I worked in marketing for various different brands, worked in mixology with @thebartenderuk , had a brief stint in insurance worked in the Music industry (on the label side with a few organisations including @grmdaily ).

❤️‍🩹 After the music “industry” dealt me some deep lessons and left me in burn out. I found wellbeing through cold showers and sequence of events that lead to Reiki Mastery, training as a Structural Integration Practitioner, Men’s work and @humanwork.life facilitator with organisations like @sacredsons @emergent.men @mensnation_org @mkpukandireland

🧘 This lead me to setting up a wellbeing business @aim2be which now bridges the gap between wellbeing and creativity. Working 121 and with organisations like @teamlove_productions @signablehq @future_leap_hub .

📍 Based in Bristol mixing my time between wellbeing & creativity inc going into schools and @thepaulinequirkeacademy Rap & Poetry as a means of expression of emotions. And of course shelling it down myself!

Taking back my power with a “No”…

So grateful when I get to share my gifts with others as it is my highest form of service.

When set times change and show arrangements reorder, I am open to go with the flow.

Yet when I am midway through a set that I have booked for and am not finished, to be made to feel like I have to rush or cut short is not a nice feeling. It has happened too many times.

I recognise that in that moment people pleaser part of me shifted because this literally means everything to me. I now hold my boundaries with love and clarity as this path of music is even clearer.

In this moment the is “No” is for a “kNOwing” that something was stirred and needed to be shared with presence and rawness.

All I had was a title “I apologise” the rest is both a #freestylefriday and #spokenwordsunday all in one.
