Hyperreality does not understand music exclusively as something present. Even if many of the invited works emerge in the here and now—formally, aesthetically, and socially—the context in which they exist is never limited to the present. Musical practices always emerge in relation: to historical lineages, to archives, to lost or suppressed histories. Time does not unfold linearly. Ideas reappear, shift, are reinterpreted, or remain invisible for long periods. The festival’s film program begins precisely here. It expands the focus on sound through a temporal perspective: as a way of understanding musical practice not only as a current state, but as part of a larger, often fragmented context.

Klo-Bar in collaboration with @siegfried_resch_wines 🍾

“If reality is a poem, this room is a love letter.”

The Klo-Bar began with a very specific club feeling: disappearing for a moment and not wanting to return just yet.
Not every important part of nightlife happens on the dancefloor.

Sometimes it happens in transitional spaces — between toilets, corridors, mirrors, bars, people waiting for each other. Places where conversations stretch out, where time slows down, where someone touches your arm while the music leaks through the walls.

The Klo-Bar is inspired by these architectures of intimacy inside club culture.
Spaces that were never designed as destinations, yet often become the emotional centre of the night.

Club toilets operate differently from the dancefloor.
Less spectacle, more residue.
Less performance, more negotiation.

Over time, they become accidental archives.
Messages on walls, numbers, stickers, sketches, fragments of thought.
A collective text written in passing.

The Klo-Bar exists somewhere inside this atmosphere:
part hiding spot, part social sculpture, part love letter to all the temporary realities that only make sense at 4am.

Cash only!

INFERNO Showcase | 22/05/26
🔗 ticket link in bio
@inferno_london @____rent____ @waxwings____ @lewisgburton @kavarikavarikavari @brotherofset @anxi0us_t

A key element of this year’s program is the INFERNO showcase, developed in close collaboration with Lewis G. Burton. Founded in London, INFERNO is a queer- and trans-led platform operating at the intersection of nightlife, performance and artistic practice. Over more than a decade, it has established itself as one of the city’s most enduring spaces for collective expression, grounded in care, experimentation and community-led organisation.

Emerging from the need to create intentional environments for queer and trans people within nightlife, INFERNO approaches the club as a form of infrastructure rather than a temporary event. Its work centres those who are often excluded from dominant club narratives — particularly trans, non-binary, intersex and working-class LGBTQ+ communities — and builds conditions in which these perspectives are not only visible, but structurally supported.

This approach unfolds within a broader context of spatial and economic pressure. In cities like London, where a significant number of LGBTQ+ venues have closed over the past decade, nightlife is increasingly fragile. Against this backdrop, INFERNO’s work can be understood as a form of resistance: not only preserving space, but actively reimagining how it is produced, shared and sustained.

In Vienna, INFERNO does not appear as a fixed format, but as a living structure — unfolding through sound, bodies and encounters, while remaining connected to the conditions and communities from which it emerged.
