Last week we celebrated our Hunt Residents, opening “IX”, an exhibition of Victoria May, Sarah Jane Barry, Quincy Koczka, Yames Moffitt, Shanel Kerekes, Amy Capalbo’s works! Our residency encourages collaboration in an artistic space, allowing for unique growth as the residents learn and develop together. IX is a capstone of this development, encapsulating themes of transformation and identity, among others. The support and community that formed in the cohort has been outstanding to witness.

On May 30, Hunt Residencies is hosting POP!, our first annual fundraiser at Beebe’s on the Square in Buffalo.

This program gives artists a studio, a community, and real career momentum.

POP! is a chance for Buffalo to see what we’ve been building and to directly support what makes it possible.

Tickets start at $100, and original works will be for sale that night as the Live Art Challenge unfolds.

Joy, gratitude and love… that’s what I am feeling about last night and my whole experience as a Hunt resident.I loved every second.Even hunched over sewing until my back and fingers hurt, until my vision blurred from cornering seed beads onto my needle and my hands cracked from them being covered in clay.
