1. Use price filters in the app
Set your budget (under $50 or $100) so you only see stays that fit what you want to spend.

2. Go Fri–Sun.
Short weekend trips are cheaper and easier to fit in more regularly. I often take solo mid-week trips to make use of mid-week discounts.

3. Stay close to home
I aim for around a 1 hour drive to save on fuel.

4. Ask for flexible check-in/out
Most Hosts are accommodating with early arrival or late checkout, just ask!

5. Prep your food ahead of time
I always bring meals from home so I’m not spending extra money on the road.

6. Buy gear secondhand
Marketplace and secondhand stores have great camping gear for a fraction of the price. I’ve found some great cast iron cooking pans!
