An extension cord, or stinger, is one of the most important pieces of equipment on a film set. Every set has stacks of them, but buying stingers gets expensive quickly. Making them is fun, easy, and also more economical than buying premade stingers. #filmmaking #gripandelectric #moviemaking #behindthescene

I'm doing a weekly film challenge called KTL where you make a 1min film with randomized rules each week.

This week's rules were all interior shots and 4 cuts/transitions.

This one was a lot of fun!

On a recent shoot, the director called for a boom up during a push in. There was no dolly with a hydraulic arm or jib on set so I improvised. Used a @thedanadolly + grip gear to achieve an aprox 8-10 degree slope. Elected to keep one stand fully vertical for extra stability. With DP Charles Cartwright

This week's rules were exactly 6 people involved and break the fourth wall.

Thanks to everyone for creating a montage! We brought around 15 outfits for filming just in case haha. This one is inspired by the reddit lamp story.

After 4 years, the saga of Bean Appreciation Day (BAD) finally comes to a close. Countless distractions, moving to a new state, joining the union, and busy schedules led to the delayed release of BAD.

This film has been a long time coming. It was originally conceived and filmed in 2021 during my junior year at Temple University. Antonio Fungairino and Sam Hilfiker co-wrote this project with me, and it wouldn’t be the same without them. I am eternally grateful for their patience with this project.

Due to COVID restrictions, I was the only crew member during principal photography and was also in front of the camera for much of filming. I had one of my parents stand in for me while I lit and framed the scene. Next, we swapped places, and they hit record for me. Working with this restriction made the project significantly more difficult and time-consuming to create.

Despite the flaws, I think BAD turned out pretty good. It’s far from perfect, but I’m glad it’s out there. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, including my co-stars/very patient parents.

Link to the short film in my bio.
