throwback to this film from sooo many years ago. the film that first made me want to be a director. the realization that we can write poems and bring them to life and call it a job. i think i was 22 or 23, fresh out of a literature degree, shocked that this was real life. at one point i tried to take a bus from cypress park to malibu for a shoot day 💀

i’ve been thinking about this project so much lately. it kind of remains a north star for me, for creating work that speaks some tiny little truth. more of this 2026 pls.
