From backstage prep to runway moments, our hair extensions brought colour, texture and individuality to life at @afcaustralianfashionweek, alongside Hair Directors @josmith_toniandguygeorges and @jackmortoncreative for @toniandguyau

Created in collaboration with @garybigeni, every look was designed to complement the energy, emotion and bold creativity of the collection.

On Friday morning at The Museum of Contemporary Art, @garybigeni debuted his Enduring collection at @afcaustralianfashionweek. The show reflected the quiet and extraordinary resilience of women through birth, loss, illness, depression, and transformation.

Through sculptural forms and considered silhouettes, each piece honours the areas of the body that carry strength differently in every woman, celebrating endurance, softness, and survival in equal measure.

Marking a significant evolution in Gary’s 23-year career, the collection saw the designer return to his original practice of draping directly on mannequins, exploring new one-seam draping techniques, hand painting and fabric twists. Signature fabrics include silk viscose, mock-croc pleather, sequins, and jersey chain.

The collection was inspired by individuals who are confident and comfortable within themselves, particularly older women whose individuality, self-assurance and sense of ease continue to inspire Gary’s evolving design perspective.
