Exactly a year ago, we packed up a small studio and took it to the Greek island of Tinos. It was off-season: quiet, windy, with more goats and cats than human beings - and somehow the perfect place to disappear for a while and make something together.

Il y a de nombreuses raisons de créer un groupe. Peut-être est-ce le désir de trouver un langage commun ? Un langage qui peut être plus intime, plus poétique, plus précis ou plus vague. Qui évolue, tout comme ceux qui le parlent, marqué par les rencontres, toujours en devenir.

C’est le cas de Vojko Huter, Paul Amereller, Tapiwa Svosve et Xaver Rüegg, les quatre membres du groupe zurichois 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞.

Depuis plus de dix ans, les multi-instrumentistes se rencontrent en salle de répétition et en dehors, imprégnant leur musique de leur personne, leur amitié, leurs influences et leurs expériences. Le résultat est une œuvre en perpétuel mouvement. Parfois plus proche du jazz ou de la pop, parfois très éloignée, mais toujours proche d'elle-même. Le groupe permet aux amis une capacité d'action semblable à une agence : pour réfléchir et créer ce que nous appelons la vie.

Découverte à La Gravière jeudi 21 mai à l’occasion de la sortie de leur nouvel album « GLUT » disponible le 29 mai sur @stonepixelsrecords.

En première partie, le duo frère-sœur 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝. Cherchant à retrouver l’imaginaire utopique des terrains vagues de l’enfance, Forever Overhead explore les variations infinies de l’écriture et de l’improvisation, tissant un paysage pop-folk-expérimental riche en contrastes et en harmonies ambitieuses. À 2 voix et jouant de tous les instruments qu’ils rencontrent, leur musique est faite d’instants suspendus où la douceur côtoie l’étrange et rien n’est jamais tout à fait ordinaire.

Il y a de nombreuses raisons de créer un groupe. Peut-être est-ce le désir de trouver un langage commun ? Un langage qui peut être plus intime, plus poétique, plus précis ou plus vague. Qui évolue, tout comme ceux qui le parlent, marqué par les rencontres, toujours en devenir.

C’est le cas de Vojko Huter, Paul Amereller, Tapiwa Svosve et Xaver Rüegg, les quatre membres du groupe zurichois 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞.

Depuis plus de dix ans, les multi-instrumentistes se rencontrent en salle de répétition et en dehors, imprégnant leur musique de leur personne, leur amitié, leurs influences et leurs expériences. Le résultat est une œuvre en perpétuel mouvement. Parfois plus proche du jazz ou de la pop, parfois très éloignée, mais toujours proche d'elle-même. Le groupe permet aux amis une capacité d'action semblable à une agence : pour réfléchir et créer ce que nous appelons la vie.

Découverte à La Gravière jeudi 21 mai à l’occasion de la sortie de leur nouvel album « GLUT » disponible le 29 mai sur @stonepixelsrecords.

En première partie, le duo frère-sœur 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝. Cherchant à retrouver l’imaginaire utopique des terrains vagues de l’enfance, Forever Overhead explore les variations infinies de l’écriture et de l’improvisation, tissant un paysage pop-folk-expérimental riche en contrastes et en harmonies ambitieuses. À 2 voix et jouant de tous les instruments qu’ils rencontrent, leur musique est faite d’instants suspendus où la douceur côtoie l’étrange et rien n’est jamais tout à fait ordinaire.
