When I picked up a camera over 10 years ago, I didn’t know my ancestor’s wildest dreams would be this wild. In fact, I didn’t even know how I was going to afford my own dreams cause I couldn’t afford photo equipment... but what I knew was I had a belief in myself, a teacher who believed in me, and resources.
At 26, I’ve been super blessed in this industry but the most important blessing has been love. This feature is a testament to moving with love for what you do, integrity with how you do it, and respect for who you do it for. My mother’s faith kept those values alive raising 4 kids after my dad’s passing. He never saw me pick up a camera, but I know he sees this right here!!! This is Coming To America manifested.
My parents taught me the importance of putting your head down and doing the work, I want to express gratitude to every person that gave me a chance to work in this industry— now ya girl is in front of the lens!!! ❤️

@Figureskatinginharlem x @Beyonce tribute this weekend was buzzzzing with Harlem hive 🐝⛸️ as community showed out for student athletes and graduating seniors. Harlem girls do not disappoint and my Day 1 @uberpretty was a co-MC :).
Uptown Icon/Politician @dr.yusefsalaam came through and reminded us this community is special. Meanwhile in a locker room somewhere my former coach made sure to remind me she taught me to use an alarm clock lol.
As the saying goes… there’s no place like home 😅.
