This concept, FENTY X SWIM, was inspired by my time working at the Savage X Fenty store from 2022 to 2023. It’s an idea I’ve carried for three years. One that finally came to life this year through a lot of prayer, persistence, and grace.

I created this to open @savagexfenty’s eyes to a new forward direction for swimwear — one that feels intimate, confident, and free. As a plus-size woman, I’ve always found it difficult to find swimwear that felt both sexy and comfortable, that allowed me to feel powerful in my own skin. but you move in both.

I’ve never felt so chosen
without knowing why.

I run.
You adjust.
I grow.
You wait.

You wear new faces
but carry the same appetite.
Lust dressed as love.
Control dressed as protection.
Silence dressed as peace.

You study me.
You know where I’m soft.
You borrow other bodies
just to reach me.

I hate that you know me so well.
Hate that you can live through anyone
and still feel the same.
Hate that every time I think I’ve escaped,
I’ve only traced another circle back to you.

You’re dangerous.

But you feel like memory.
Like muscle.
Like something carved into me
before I even knew my own name.

Not many people will understand this.

trying to release my vulnerability this time.
It scares me —
how tightly I guard it now.

This year I wanted to do something special for myself…I had such a great 2024 and everyone consistently asked me what was in store for 2025 and I never knew exactly what it would’ve been but I know it was going to be worth it.

I finally got a chance to work with my dear friend @kausetherapper for his album, “What’s a Crown to the Clouds?” and although it sent my nerves through the roof, I truly felt so alive. We went from studio shoots to having my artwork on a SHIRT to MILKBOY!!!!!! I’m so proud and honored to have been apart of something so big like that.

I Also had the pleasure of capturing @chioke and her sweet little rockstars 🥺 it’s the most beautiful picture I’ve ever done for a Mom in my entire journey. The best part about that shoot is that they never cried and were actually really good with me as opposed to other photographers 😭

Throughout the rest of the year I’ve had a great time exploring so many colorful and personal shoots from friends of my friends and colleagues of mine I haven’t seen in YEARS. I truly let God take the lead along with my inner child and show me what I can do without putting too much pressure on myself and it took me so far. I ended up in New York multiple times, I made money with my best friend doing Pop-Up Photo booths, I captured my friends getting married, IM APART OF THE COOLEST AGENCY EVER, and I truly elevated my vision to have more depth and warmth.

This year was so transformative for me and I appreciate everyone in these photos and even the clients who didn’t make the carousel for allowing me to amplify your voice. I believed in myself so much more this year and truly understood what grace is on the behalf of the success, mistakes, failures, and growth.
