Floid is one of the reasons we fell in love with the faster-paced, deep and psychedelic sounds we like to push with PODD. Our first time at Omen Wapta had us hooked on the sound, and on this personality: a live-only DJ, with pure energy and joy behind the decks.

Besides the fact that we appreciate his productions a lot, Floid is just an amazing person. He’s full of humor, driven to work hard and a wonderful soul to be around. Whether you see him behind the decks or on the dance floor, he’ll always be walking around with a big smile. You can really see the joy and energy he gets from music, and that’s a beautiful personality trait. Very happy to officially welcome you brother, and very excited for all the moments together on-and off the dance floor❤️.

Insanely proud to share the project Floid and I have been working on for the last 2 years. Many Friday mornings sitting down at our home studio, we shaped and sculpted this new born project together. ‘Dookuzot’ will be the first imprint that we want to share. It’s part of a larger series of various expressions that will be presented in different forms.

How can the unfamiliar feel so close? Dookuzot, the debut EP by Floid and W92 (aka Woody92), invites listeners to venture into the echo chambers of the psyche on their Omen Wapta imprint. Like a salvaged coat of arms, this 8-track release weaves the cryptic motifs of the blood brothers into its sonic fabric, blending unease with ease through stealthy rhythms and dissonant harmonies. One a sonic visionary, the other a sound artist—together, they transform decades of shared family history into an imaginary realm of the mind.

Pensive yet commanding, Dookuzot unfolds like a labyrinth, where shadowy corridors give rise to textures, shapes, and fragments of memories that never existed. Are you the hunter, or are you being hunted? Neither tempo nor zeitgeist grounds the EP; instead, it conjures a citadel of sound—an intricate fortification of motion and stillness. A deeply rooted, close knit, mind channeling weekend is about to happen. Dreams REALLY come true. Seriously...

Floid started his musical journey some years ago. Seeing from very close how dedicated he is, shaping and sculpting his own musical signatures is something that gives me goosebumps and I can only deeply respect that. Numerous times in the studio together were the musical connection that took us to places. Sometimes judging music from your own brother is confronting and super difficult hehe, but the outcome of that is two insane releases which I’m insanely proud of, and there is way more to come.

Now.... After some years sharing the stage together and serving you a hybrid live show at the newborn festival per:sona on Friday and Saturday at the beloved Dekmantel Festival playing only music from Floid and us two together is the most surreal thing ever! And I’m deeply aware how special this is.

You’re my best friend Floid, musical interaction to the fullest, and the best brother I could wish for. It means the world to me performing with you. This is something I’ve dreamed of but never thought this would be actually happening.

Shoutout to Per:sona crew, Antoine & Charles for creating such a mad festival! And to the whole Dekmantel team, congratulations with your ten years and for always believing in me and us.

Now.... After some years sharing the stage together and serving you a hybrid live show at the newborn festival per:sona on Friday and Saturday at the beloved Dekmantel Festival playing only music from Floid and us two together is the most surreal thing ever! And I’m deeply aware how special this is.

You’re my best friend Floid, musical interaction to the fullest, and the best brother I could wish for. It means the world to me performing with you. This is something I’ve dreamed of but never thought this would be actually happening.

Shoutout to Per:sona crew, Antoine & Charles for creating such a mad festival! And to the whole Dekmantel team, congratulations with your ten years and for always believing in me and us.

A deeply rooted, close knit, mind channeling weekend is about to happen. Dreams REALLY come true. Seriously...

Floid started his musical journey some years ago. Seeing from very close how dedicated he is, shaping and sculpting his own musical signatures is something that gives me goosebumps and I can only deeply respect that. Numerous times in the studio together were the musical connection that took us to places. Sometimes judging music from your own brother is confronting and super difficult hehe, but the outcome of that is two insane releases which I’m insanely proud of, and there is way more to come.

For his second release on Omen Wapta, Delft-based sound artist, Floid, fuses soundscapes and rhythms in seven tracks that swap peaks and troughs for narrative arcs. Cinematic, immersive, dense and danceable, the new EP, delivers sonic pieces that hypnotically swell and engage brain and body dance.

Drop into a snake pit with cavernous moments and unexpected ornaments that rattle and slice. Affected pan flutes, meshed with shamanic vocals and organic percussion conjure a nocturnal fever dream in the jungle. Tempo tricks make high bpms feel stretched. With Skudd, the only thing guiding you through the soundscapes is a certain groove in the constant kicks, rhythms and basslines. Everywhere else it takes your mind is up to you.
