🩷💚🌮 San Antonio Tacos and Tequila Fest 🌮💚🩷

Last weekend's @tacosandtequilasatx was sooo much fun! What's not to love about throwback 90's and 2000's hip hop and R&B performances, icy cold margaritas and plenty of tacos and festival food to eat?!💚🌮🍹🩷

We had salted watermelon (my husband's fave) and toasted coconut (my fave) margaritas, delicious asada tacos from @ragingbulltacos and @the.booth.life.llc and plenty of samples of @heineken_us new fruit-infused non-alcoholic beer and @caymanjack Jacked Margarita drinks!

We enjoyed musical performances from @murphderrty@bubbamathis @jaysean , @trinarockstarr @prettyricky @three6mafia and my fave, The People's Champ @paulwallbaby 💚💖✨

Even with a slight rain delay during Jay Sean's set (which actually cooled us off after being out in the hot South Texas sun), the party never slowed down and the vibes stayed chill from the afternoon into the evening. 💖

There were also lucha libre matches from @maskedrepublic and a chihuahua fashion show!Everyone really seemed to have a great time!

The party may be over this year in San Antonio, but you can catch @tacosandtequilamke in Milwaukee on May 30th!

✨🌸Gucci Beauty Elements of Beauty Event at Nordstrom🌸✨

I recently spent a wonderful afternoon with the @guccibeauty team at @nordstrom taking a guided journey through the brand's Alchemist Garden fragrance line!

As a history lover, it was a lot of fun to walk through the history of Gucci's fashion house and also learn about the inspiration for the brand's higher end fragrance line!

I fell in love with the Osmanthus Nectar fragrance, part of the elemental Fire line, with notes of Apricot, Osmanthus and Sandalwood, and I plan to buy a bottle as soon as it comes back in stock at Nordstrom!

We also got a Gucci Beauty makeup demo, which included the brand's new Glow Oil-In-Water Tints - I ended up buying shade 217, Valeria Rose. The formula is super hydrating and long lasting with Cranberry Biopeptides, Hyaluronic Acid and Black Rose Extract, and the effect is like that of popsicle stained lips. Super pretty and comfortable to wear!

🌸 Runway In Bloom 🌸

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Runway In Bloom show at @sabgtx . This show featured a unique, modern and reimagined bridal collection handcrafted by Texas Artisans of Elite Knitting under the direction of Libby Tolm of Looking Friday.

The fashion house opened their archives to curate their first bridal capsule collection of beautiful, hand knit pieces blending design and craft with 100% natural fibers and materials like silk, pearls and selenite in silhouettes originally developed for Oscar de la Renta.

Each piece is a custom work of art intended to convey the message that brides don't have to compromise personal style, quality and fit for their weddings.

The stunning runway bridal looks were especially bright when juxtaposed against the storm-darkened skies and the garden's colorful Otherwild art installations created by Patrick Shearn and
@poetickinetics . Overall, this was a memorable and beautiful show - the models did an incredible job and every piece was exquisite!

🎉Cinco de Mayo Pachanga 🎉

On Saturday, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo early at @lulaccouncil682 17th Annual Pachanga in Seguin, Texas!❤️🎉🌮

We love a party with a purpose and the best part about this community celebration is thatproceeds help provide scholarships to high school seniors in the area! This organization has raised over $50,000 in just the last three years!🙌🏻 🎉❤️

The weather was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed checking out all the vendor booths, watching the @movimientocumbia band from Austin, checking out the low rider car show and eating delicious Thai Street food and Asada Tacos. Trying new food is always my favorite part of celebrations like this, but the action-packed Lucha Libre match with @e.garciapro and @toostrongisaac was a close second!

It was also fun to support my friend @chronicallyyesenia , who did an amazing job on her third stint as Pachanga Emcee! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This was our first time in Seguin, so we spent some time walking around downtown, which was really cute with lots of shops and restaurants we plan to come back to visit! We even got to see The World's Largest Pecan!❤️

Overall, it was a beautiful celebration of culture and heritage, benefitting the next generation of local students! I can't think of a better way to soend a sunny Saturday afternoon!❤️🎉

🪐🚀👽The Hidden Orbit👽🚀🪐

This past weekend I had the pleasure of previewing The Hidden Orbit at The Balcony at @hardrockcafesanantonio !!!

This super fun space themed pop-up just touched down on The Balcony and features a special menu that is out of this world, intergalactic decor and a live dj blasting off music all night long!🪐🛸💫

We enjoyed trying the following cocktails:

•Red Moon Martini: Delish with Hendrick's Gin, St. Germaine and Cranberry Juice!

•Supernova Kiss: With Absolut Vanilla, Watermelon Pucker and Sweet & Sour, this one tasted like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher!

•Cosmic Dust: This was my fave! Absolut Citron, Blue Curaçao
And Grenadine, this sparkly purple citrus spritzer was sweet and refreshing!

•Apollo Ember: This was the only one that fell a little flat for us. The Maker's Mark, Grapefruit Juice and Honey didn't mesh together as well as I would have liked - lemonade would have been a better mixer, but it was still enjoyable!

We also tried:

•Fried Chicken Sliders with Hot Honey and Jalapeño Slaw - they were excellent with the perfect combination of sweet and spicy flavors!

•Double Cheeseburger: This burger was super juicy and had the perfect amount of cheese and veggies! Yum!

Overall, we had a fun evening overlooking the San Antonio Riverwalk from The Hidden Orbit up above!

✨🏮🍱 Sakana 🍱🏮✨

My son and I had the pleasure of dining at @sakanatx recently and we have definitely found our favorite new ramen and sushi spot in San Antonio!

Every single thing we tasted was magical, the decor was beautiful and whimsical and the hospitality was amazing! It is always nice to dine at a restaurant where the staff seems genuinely happyyou are there!❤️

The restaurant has a huge menu with so many delicious and affordable options that it was hard to decide what to order, but here's what we landed on:

• Lychee Martini and Yuzu Margarita: Both were incredibly refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness

•Veggie Spring Roll.
Pork Spring Roll and BBQ Pork Bun: These appetizers were all delish, but the Pork Bun really stood out!

•Godzilla Roll and Philadelphia Roll: The Philadelphia Roll was very good, but the Godzilla Roll with soft shell crab, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, avocado, eel sauce and spicy mayo was exceptional!!!

•Sushi Sashimi Combo (platters also come with miso soup and salad): Presentstion was 10/10 and everything tasted super fresh

•Kimchee Beef Ramen: I am still thinking about this ramen, y'all! It was super spicy and flavorful and I am ready to get some more!

• Veggie Yakusoba: The sauce really enhanced the taste of the veggies and the noodles had an amazing texture

•Hibachi Fried Rice: The perfect side!

I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for delicious ramen and sushi!
