【Singer Songwriter: Lester Lam x Eason Chan】Lester Lam的跨域音樂地圖

來自馬來西亞的唱作人Lester Lam，總能在城市流行樂的框架外，找到R&B與獨立音樂的接壤地帶。

2020年首張EP《Unwithered Blue》以憂鬱藍調為基色，將異鄉獨居的孤寂淬煉成治癒音符；兩年後的概念專輯《Aquilo》更與Daniel Toh、Claudia Koh及Eason Chan (keys) 等音樂人合作，在世界音樂與西方當代節奏間架起聲響橋樑。

Malaysian-born Lester Lam crafts soulful urban pop infused with R&B and indie textures. His 2020 debut Unwithered Blue transformed expatriate solitude into a melancholic masterpiece, followed by 2022's globally-inspired Aquilo featuring collaborations with Daniel Toh and Eason Chan (Keys).

After last year's Rainy Days in The Blue Whale concert, Lam reunites with keyboardist Chan for an intimate performance—reimagining originals and influential covers that trace his artistic DNA. In today's formulaic pop landscape, Lam's music remains refreshingly human.

【Jazz Signature: S.P.K. Trio】 代表本地爵士樂聲音的新生代

Eason Chan, Brian Cheung, Michael Chan, 三位年輕的爵士樂家，標誌著香港本地爵士樂的活力。

鋼琴手Eason參與多部本地電影及電視劇的配樂創作，包括電影《二次人生》、《不日成婚》、《狂舞派3》、《媽媽的神奇小子》，以及電視劇《二月廿九》、《940920》等。同時，亦與唱作歌手 Lester Lam，Moon Tang 和 Anna Hisbbur 恆常合作。Eason亦活躍於本地爵士樂壇，參與 Happy Go Lucky Big Band 的演出，並組成樂隊 Laminar Quartet 和 7th Wave Septet，發表原創爵士樂作品。

色士風手Brian，曾受邀參與多個音樂節及演出，包括西九文化區自由爵士音樂節、Ensemble Transience 等。近年亦積極參與錄音及電影配樂工作，合作項目包括黃衍仁的《嚼事之夜》及電影《金手指》等。

吉他手Michael 的演奏方法富有個人風格。他曾接受本地吉他手Tsui Chin Hung、美國傳統爵士吉他手 Chris Park 及 John Stowell 的私人指導，希望從東西方文化中，結合出一把屬於自己的聲音。Brian與Michael同為爵士普及團體《翻騰三周半》成員之一，致力於推廣爵士樂及音樂教育工作。

他們三人的故事標誌著爵士樂在香港慢慢普及，並孕育出屬於本地而且出色的爵士樂聲音。

皆因三人的音樂室同時在新蒲崗，因而取名為S.P.K Trio。當晚他們將會互相演繹對方的原創音樂，並挑選他們喜歡的現代爵士樂曲，介紹給本地樂迷認識。

Pianist Eason has worked on soundtracks for local films and dramas like "Second Life," "Upcoming Wedding," and "February 29." He collaborates frequently with musicians such as Lester Lam, Moon Tang, and Anna Hisbbur and is active in the local jazz scene, performing with the Happy Go Lucky Big Band and formed groups like the Laminar Quartet.

Saxophonist Brian performs at various music festivals, including the West Kowloon Cultural District Free Jazz Festival, and has engaged in recording and scoring projects, such as Wong Yan-kin's "Chewing the Night."

Guitarist Michael incorporates his unique style into his performances, drawing from his studies with local and American jazz guitarists. Both Brian and Michael are part of the jazz collective "Three and a Half Beats," which promotes jazz and music education.

Together, these musicians showcase the growing popularity of jazz in Hong Kong through their collaboration in the S.P.K Trio, performing original compositions and modern jazz pieces for local audiences.

I was skeptical, knowing how different our musical styles can be, but what CHEMISTRY ⚛️ we ended up creating! I am so proud of the ass-kicking, electrifying set of music played! I enjoyed every minute of it.

My band, my MVPs @laurence.lo @and.ych @dkwong_14 thank you for always having my back. The arrangements are incomplete without the contributions of these three. Always the most prepared, most versatile. Really appreciate the magic each of you bring forth, and honestly grateful to see our growth as musicians. ✌🏼
