Not every day one gets to do an original film score (that involves electronic dance music & sound design too) so this one is for the books. To take on such an unexpectedly large-scale action feature for the first time was terrifying and learning curve was steep, not to mention our sound team had 6 weeks (did not sleep) to finish the music last March.Sound is a team effort and each person has their role to play from supervising & themes (+end credit song by @flyinglotus ), scoring and sound design, foley, additional recording @goldmtn , conforming, atmos mixing, mastering and each part is equally crucial.. arduous process but every minute was worth it in the end thanks to @edkofilmsltd team’s professionalism and kindness, @kenjitanigaki brilliant leadership, Bill’s wise guidance, Frank’s unwavering support, @leungelliot supervision and trust in my work.As a martial arts fan growing up, to soundtrack iconic scenes (fights on loop in my dreams now lol) and witness such a timeless piece of art from the producer of “Crouching Tiger”, with world class choreography and martial arts (actors did their own stunts also) come to life on home turf has been a great honour and will be a core memory for life. 🙏🏽thank you for believing in me enough to have me on board.Big respect🤎 期待💪🏽 “The Furious” worldwide theatrical release on June 12.Trailer out now-coming soon.@lionsgate @xyzfilms
