Inspired by the concept that "Every melody starts with a moment worth telling," SongSpeak Sessions is an intimate evening where we share the memories and experiences held most dear in various songs.

Each session features a special guest invited into the conversation to share their favorite musical moments and collaborate with us.

Adam you left us almost ten years ago and sometimes I think I can still hear your breathless guffaws like you were just here in the room with me.You were an incredibly powerful force during your time here, spreading joy and energy and grabbing everyone in your orbit to join you on adventures.What a gift it has been to spend time with dear friends learning some of the music you left us, and what a beautiful testament to your memory that we were brought together again to smile and laugh and create art.Miss you so much.

Join us November 17 at the Alberta Rose as we celebrate the man and some of his music.

Van composition.First time writing something like this, super fun and challenging, and I’m pretty happy with it.

In my on going quest to do things besides doom scroll on tour I learned this Oscar Peterson solo on Tea For Two.Kind of picked it at random since it was short and didn’t sound too hard, and it ended up miraculously having the exact same two octave C to C range as my tiny travel keyboard.So much cool language in this solo, and Oscars ability to play a million notes with no trash in there always amazes me.
