Getting to the pointy end of the marathon of cutting, painting, sanding, carving and adding layers to a big stack of panels for the brand new 2025 Main stage! Very excited! Still a bunch of lasercutting, LED pieces and then packing.
Been a busy few months designing and making it all and now finally rolling out on Friday to put it all up - couldn't be more excited!
So many parts and ideas, details and connections, shapes and colours, lights and motors, sculptures and paintings - Its a whole exhibition of artworks all merged into one monstrosity! Its a harrd thing to capture really - Best experienced as a dancefloor! Super Happy with the 2024 edition - bring on the new!

"Such fun as always, this stage was a second year stage - a remix of some of the panels from the previous year with a bunch of new ones.. allowing me time to focus on making more mega mechanical and motorized elements - Had 10 motors in this stage!
The big counter-rotating "Space Kebabs" had been a dream for years, so good to finally execute the idea!"
Massive thanks to Tristan, DC, Oren, Aviv, Mike D, Flood, Kris, Jim & Tay, Mase and everyone who helped get it all up and finished - it was a solid week of late nights to get it all assembled, painted, wired and standing!

Sentinel embodies the duality of protection and reflection.
Its Core, a structure of mirrors, absorbs and reveals the essence of those who gaze into it.
Its Outer Frame stands tall as The Guardian, silently shielding the soul within.

Esoteric isn’t just a music festival. For many of the artists like us who have worked alongside this production team for many years, this is a part of our livelihood. It’s a weekend that keeps us going for the next six months. It brings us together in one majestic place and fuels business relationships for years to come. From arriving on-site with anticipation, to a barren landscape of creative collaboration left to be enjoyed by the build crew and a few hundred people... what has been unfolding within the entertainment community the last few weeks has devastated so many who put their hearts and souls into a weekend of connection and self-expression.

Regardless of the upsetting decision and the mess so many people were left in because of it, we took the time to revel in what we had built from the dust up. So many materials and so much time invested to create the psychedelic playground we love so much, appreciated by only a handful of those who were meant to experience it.

We all remain hopeful for Esoteric 2026 to return with the same spirit we all know so well.

Esoteric isn’t just a music festival. For many of the artists like us who have worked alongside this production team for many years, this is a part of our livelihood. It’s a weekend that keeps us going for the next six months. It brings us together in one majestic place and fuels business relationships for years to come. From arriving on-site with anticipation, to a barren landscape of creative collaboration left to be enjoyed by the build crew and a few hundred people... what has been unfolding within the entertainment community the last few weeks has devastated so many who put their hearts and souls into a weekend of connection and self-expression.

Regardless of the upsetting decision and the mess so many people were left in because of it, we took the time to revel in what we had built from the dust up. So many materials and so much time invested to create the psychedelic playground we love so much, appreciated by only a handful of those who were meant to experience it.

We all remain hopeful for Esoteric 2026 to return with the same spirit we all know so well.
