“Playground Director” Short Film starring @carebearcarin & @nicfew

An eccentric amateur Director, and curious bystander embark on an imaginative journey at a playground, transforming reality into cinematic wonder, and re-discovering the joy of play, creativity, and connection. Watch until the end! This film evolves as it goes 🤣

Our short film was originally created for the @cinematographyforactors 72 hour Quarterly Film Challenge. We managed to bring the entire project to life in just 3 days: @carebearcarin developed the concept and wrote the script on day one, we filmed everything on day two, and completed post-production/delivery on day three!

We ended up winning the film challenge with this film! None of it could have been possible without our amazing small team! We really proved to ourselves how much you can accomplish in a short amount of time.

We hope this film brings you joy, reminds you to have fun while creating, and resurfaces the imagination we all once had when we were younger.

Last year we shot a live performance video for @sheybaba ‘s soon to be released track “This Revelation.” I knew I wanted to use the Fujifilm GFX 100ii. I’ve used it for various passion projects but this was the first real chance to use it for one of our @cutfocus productions.

Honestly blown away by how good it looks! Especially paired with our vintage 1968 Meyer-Optik Görlitz Oreston 50mm (cine-moded by @ducloslenses ). It was also an honor working with @sheybaba who happens to be one of @carebearcarin and my favorite artists! When you listen to this track, you’ll see why!

We originally made this film specifically for this challenge but after a overwhelming amount of feedback, we’ve been advised to take this film through the film festival circuit!
