From the classroom to the community. 🎨☕

For many of these Cibola students, this mural at New Mexico Piñon Coffeehouse was their first experience creating commissioned artwork in a public space. Along the way, they learned how to collaborate, problem solve, and bring a large-scale vision to life together.

Huge thank you to New Mexico Piñon Coffeehouse for supporting student artists and giving them this opportunity to create something meaningful for the community.

This is just a teaser. The full video drops tomorrow on YouTube. Link in bio! 🎥 @nmpinoncoffee @abqschools @cibolacoogs @cibolanahs @nmartsinedyear

30+ feet wide and months in the making. 🎨
Cibola students created a mural that celebrates New Mexico, Cougar pride, and the many visual and performing arts programs that make their school unique. From the Sandias and roadrunners to music, theatre, and visual arts, every section tells part of the story.
This is just a quick teaser. Full video drops Friday. 👀 @cibolacoogs @abqschools @nmartsinedyear @cibolanahs

Thank you so much for this yearbook award for Best Social Media. It truly means a lot to us as Editor in Chief and Assistant Editor in Chief.

Over the past four years, being part of this program has been such an amazing experience. What started as something we were just involved in quickly turned into something we genuinely cared about. We’ve learned so much—not just about yearbook and social media, but about leadership, teamwork, and what it means to be responsible for something bigger than ourselves.

We’ve had long nights, stressful deadlines but also so many moments of creativity and laughter in what we were building together. Getting to grow with this team and help shape the yearbook’s have been something we will always be grateful for.

- Editor-in-chief: Ava Ortiz Signing Out
- Assistant Editor-in-chief: Jocelyn Garcia Signing Out
