Synonym is launching International House of Breakfast, a summer series with some of LA's best — and we're doing it at @chifa_la in partnership with @cipotacoffee and @arrozandfun_la.

Each month, a different chef takes over the morning. Here's the lineup:

Vietnamese Breakfast by @diepette of Good Girl Dinette
@neighborhood_seed_xchange will have a table with anyone wanting to do a seed exchange!

@edisonchen takes us to @chifa_la to sit down with @humberto and family to talk about Chinese food, the importance of maintaining tradition, and lemon tea.

Edison and Humberto’s relationship was deeply shaped through Opening Ceremony’s annual cookouts in Los Angeles, where Edison first met Popo Wendy and John Liu (of @chifa_la). Those early cookouts that brought people together around family and culture, along with Popo Wendy’s lifelong experience with Chinese food that started in Peru, created the foundation for which Chifa sits upon today.

P.S. Out of 60+ regional Chinese cuisines, we still haven’t come across satay with cheese.

Thank you to our guests who joined us for a traditional Chinese Family dinner celebration for the New Year.The number 8 is the number of Fortune and Luck. The 8 course menu included Fish, Chicken, Noodle, Sticky Rice, and Lo Hon Veggies. All food represented luck, harmony, togetherness, prosperity, and good health! We are so happy to share our tradition with you!
