I try to keep my recommendations and reviews modest. Everyone has different tastes. This is not one of those posts. This is a rare opportunity to taste true culinary magic! ✨

I had the opportunity to dine at @roosterandowl for its AAPI Friends of the Flock chef collaboration series with Chef Yuan Tang @chefyuantang and Chef Seng Luangrath @chefseng from @thipkhaodc and think this 5-course dining experience will be hard to top for me!

This was hands down one of the best meals of my life. From start to finish every course was just perfect. I’ve been thinking about it every single day since. I especially appreciated hearing stories about Chef Seng’s life and experiences with food and her Laotian culture. They also graciously prepared options for most dietary restrictions which allowed me to enjoy every course fully. That means the world to me.

We are close to achieving our goal of transitioning Ae to rest peacefully with his family in Lampang, Thailand, and are thankful for your support. 🙏🙏🙏🪽🪽🪽

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ae, a beloved member of our Thip Khao family. He was one of our core team who had been with us since the very beginning. Ae was deeply loyal, incredibly hardworking, and one of the kindest people we had the privilege to know and work alongside. Our team and I are heartbroken by his sudden loss.

In mid-April, Ae became seriously ill and within two weeks he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. While traveling back home to Thailand to be with his family, on May 15th he peacefully passed away during his journey. His resting soul is currently in Seoul, Korea as arrangements are being made to transport him to his hometown of Lampang, Thailand.

The financial burden on his family has become overwhelming. The cost of transport, funeral arrangements and medical expenses are well over $25,000. We are asking our community, friends, and loved ones to come together to support Ae’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial strain and honor Ae’s memory with dignity and care.

On behalf of Ae's wife, Ann, his daughter, Promtan family and our entire Thip Khao family, we thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
