This year we have added an afterparty to our festival. It will happen at SoundHouse Den Haag. Doors open at 18.00 o'clock and sound sculpturist Caeso will turn his work "Nihil" on at 19:00 o'clock. Tickets are 5 Euros up to about a million, whatever you can afford. See you at De Constant Rebequeplein 20b!

This year, we’re adding a new chapter to our programme. On Sunday 24 May, we invite artists and audiences to gather for a closing evening to celebrate the end of 48 + 6 hours of radio art.

Pay what you can, from €5 - tickets at the door.

SoundHouse is a brand-new music venue and collective in The Hague. BUG Radio is one of its active members: from here we organise live events and broadcast live, just as we do at West Den Haag @westdenhaag, making it a new home for our community and creative experimentation.

𝗢𝗻 𝗔𝗶𝗿 - 𝗢𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 returns in less than two weeks, from 8pm on Friday May 22 to 8pm on Sunday May 24 (CET). This year we’re happy to introduce something new to our programme: 48 hours of radio art +6. We’ll be closing the festival with a special event at SoundHouse, a BUG Radio takeover to celebrate the end of 48+ hours of radio art, a moment to celebrate our community after the festival.

As always, the festival takes place online, on FM, and on-site.

📍 Saturday 23, 14:30–18:00 — Institute of Sonology
We open with a broadcast listening session followed by 5 live performances.

📍 Sunday 24, 14:00–17:30 — West Den Haag @westdenhaag
Expect a broadcast listening session followed by a panel talk with local radio artists and 3 live performances on-site to close the afternoon.

Today and tomorrow it's REVEIL, the yearly 24 hour broadcast of the dawn chorus by soundcamp. On Bug Radio you can hear on the right channel, sounds from the dawn chorus in each time zone as the earth turns. On the left you hear a live broadcast from the "stilte gebied" - quiet zone in the dunes near The Hague.
