@hiphop4change partnered with @bridgebuildersng and @themileshallfoundation to help #Antioch students use hip hop as a positive outlet for stress, anxiety, and mental health. Students took part in beat making, dancing, and other creative activities while learning how music and self expression can help build confidence and community. How do you feel about more programs like this for the youth opening up?

HIP HOP HELPS WITH STRESS

Another successful program in Antioch. @hiphop4change in partnership with the @themileshallfoundation and @bridgebuildersng provided a 6 week after school program, using Hip Hop to help manage stress and encourage young people to access mental health resources such as calling 988, in the case of a mental health crisis.

The students loved engaging in all the elements of Hip Hop, beat making, breakdancing, graffiti and more, as a healthy form of self expression. Big shout out to Dallas Ranch Middle School as well as Antioch Middle School. We’re looking forward to next year!

Facilitated and organized another successful Wellness Event for @bridgebuildersng ! Our staff deserve intentional spaces for collective healing and wellbeing. We started off with speed connections where we switched partners every 4 mins and answered guided prompts, followed by a Yoga session lead by Emily, and ending with a nature walk after breaking bread! What an honor to witness peace, community, & joy in these spaces ! Thank you to all who participated and all who poured in energy and effort to make this happen! What wellness activities should we do next? 👀

These interviews are the reason why we do what we do.

Behind every conversation is a story you don’t always see growth that didn’t happen overnight, challenges that could’ve gone another way, and moments where someone just needed the right support at the right time.

Join us June 20th—get your ticket or support the mission. More info in our bio.
