We’re so excited to be showcasing two of v?’s acrylic paintings for Asian Heritage Week this May.
v?’s work is rooted in the quiet, often unconscious ways we come to understand ourselves and make sense of the world we experience. She’s drawn to the moment before something becomes fully known, like when a feeling, memory, or inner shift begins to take form but still remains fluid and ever evolving. Through intuitive abstraction, she uses colour, movement, and organic composition to create works that feel as though they are emerging and dissolving at once.
Rather than offering a fixed narrative, she sees each painting as an emotional landscape: a space for reflection, softness, and recognition. Her hope is that the work allows viewers to meet something within themselves gently, whether that is a memory, a feeling, or a version of self still becoming.
𖦞.─── ·₊˚ ˖♡۫𓏼˚̣̣̣⟡ৎ ───˖𖦞.
v? is an Indonesian-Vietnamese-Australian artist whose practice explores the fluid, shifting nature of identity through abstraction. With a background in psychology, philosophy, her work is guided by an interest in the unseen forces that shape us - memory, emotion, intuition, and the subconscious. Through layered colour, organic forms, and a sensitivity to composition, v? creates paintings that feel both personal and open-ended. Her work invites viewers into a softer space of reflection, where inner experience can be felt before it is fully understood.

Welcoming AAA* Studio to our Asian Heritage Week Naarm/Melbourne line up. Within the gallery, they will present ‘A* Soft Gate’, an installation that we will light up on our opening night so you can watch it evolve over time.
A* Soft Gate explores what happens when rigid systems designed to contain human behaviour are infiltrated by soft, unstable matter.
At the centre of the installation is a cast-iron gate — a structure historically associated with control, separation, and access. It defines boundaries: inside and outside, permitted and denied, private and public. In this work, the gate is enveloped in layers of wax — a material that records accumulation, delay, and touch.
When ignited, the wax begins to melt, drip, and burn. The structure no longer performs as a stable boundary. Instead, it leaks.
The work proposes emotion not as something immediate or expressive, but as something stored. It accumulates over time, held within systems that attempt to contain it. Under heat, pressure, time, or proximity—it is released.
𖦞.─── ·₊˚ ˖♡۫𓏼˚̣̣̣⟡ৎ ───˖𖦞.
A.A.A Studio operates as an open system where authorship is dispersed and meaning remains unstable.
Through participatory works and public encounters, we explore emotional exchange in everyday contexts — where language, materials, and actions become tools for connection.
Our work creates temporary situations where intimacy emerges without identity, obligation, or permanence.

Soft to the touch and rich in detail, this piece invites you in for a closer look — it’s all about texture, subtlety, and feeling as much as form.

We’re opening up artist applications for our Asian Heritage Week exhibition this May in Naarm/Melbourne.
Asian Heritage Week, led by Asian Hustle Network, returns May 25–31 and continues to grow here in Australia. Last year marked our first time committing to an Asian Heritage Week exhibition. It was incredibly special to see that room come together and we're so excited to be bringing it back this year.
This year’s exhibition is titled 'A Family Gathering'. Rather than defining a theme, the title speaks to the experience of the exhibition. It brings Asian Australian artists into one room, allowing a range of practices, perspectives and stories to sit alongside one another.
As an extension of last year’s program, this exhibition will sit within a broader lineup of Asian Heritage Week events across Platform’s programming (TBA).

What a fantastic @MoombaFestival we had for 2026! I managed to see so much from the @moombamasterswaterski, the Birdman Rally, Parade and more. Can't wait to share them all with you.
Here's some festival shots as well as an awesome mural being painted by @blenderstudios !
