With the Twice Seen exhibition, taking place in New York (Broadway) from June 23 to 29, we are continuing our collaboration with @art.innovation.gallery.
Four @elastiquedesign artists, four perspectives — each exploring a fundamental aspect of the company’s core values.
Simplicity. Clarity. Beauty. Fun.
These principles shape how Elastique. stages brands and their innovations — turning complex ideas into compelling, emotional, and engaging experiences. „Clarity“ deals with the semantic characteristics of one of the most powerful identity-forming symbols, dissolved and reinvented by Bennet Meyer, Senior Art Director at Elastique.
“Flags stand for belonging. For shared values. For clarity. With minimal form and color, they express powerful messages — often seen as fixed and universal. But are they really? This project questions that idea. It explores the emotional and symbolic weight flags carry — how meanings shift over time, how associations differ from person to person. What seems solid can be fragile. What appears timeless can be reinvented. By removing color and form, I reduced the flag to its most essential structure. The result: a visual that breaks away from certainty. Instead of a clear message, it opens up space — for ambiguity, for questions, for interpretation. It’s a study of one of the most identity-shaping symbols we have, and a reminder that meaning is never static.” – Bennet Meyer (@bennnetmeyer)
About Bennet Meyer:
As Senior Art Director specializing in both moving and static 3D/2D visuals and CGI, Bennet Meyer crafts fantastical and ambiguous computer-generated imagery that challenges conventional perceptions. With a background rooted in graphic design and digital art, he is fascinated by the tension between clarity and mystery. Bennet believes that “there is nothing more exciting than clear aesthetics, and nothing more boring than a clear message.” His work explores this paradox by creating visuals that invite interpretation and evoke emotion rather than delivering linear narratives.
