A few years back @daljitkaur1979 and I started putting on meet ups in Frome - which turned into art collaborations, supper clubs and parties.
From doing these events we brought to life the brand IAMWE - an umbrella brand that showcases art, digital projection, ceramics, installation, sculpture -a coming together of different people, cultures and backgrounds.

The name IAMWE was originally inspired by the track 'I Am We' by United Vibrations - a band composed ofKareem Dayes,Yussef Dayes Ahmad Dayes &Wayne Francis II

The song 'I Am We' had an impact on us at the time it was released over a decade ago. The lyrics are even more prevalent now, the message contained in the lyrics could not be more in line with what's happening in the world.
Music is so powerful at spreading a message, and uplifting spirits.
Various writers and reviewers tried their best to categorize the sound of London's United Vibrations using terms like Afrobeat or jazz. However, this unique group may be best described by the feelings their music instills instead of through a genre classification.
Sadly they're not together anymore
