Bath Artists' Studios is excited to be taking part in the Bear Flat Artists Open Studios art trail over the Bank Holiday weekend, 23–25 May, with a special pop-up exhibition at St Luke's Church.
Come along and explore fantastic work from artists across the trail, including a curated selection from Bath Artists’ Studios.
We are a 30-year-old creative community of over 50 artists, makers, teachers and workshop facilitators. Expect a fantastic mix of painting, print, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and more.
At a critical moment for BAS, as we currently face eviction with no confirmed future space, this exhibition is not only a showcase of incredible work but also a chance to support the future of creativity in Bath.

Still time to catch Fish Out of Water at Bath Artists’ Studios’ Roper Gallery
📍 Bath Artists’ Studios, Roper Gallery
🗓 16–18 May
⏰ 11am–5pm
Fish Out of Water brings together artists Lu Clarke and Elan Hilty in an exploration of queer and feminine belonging in a modern climate. Through their use of the canary as a contemporary queer symbol, Clarke’s paintings and sculptural works aim to bring queer issues to the forefront of today’s socio-political discourse. Hilty’s found-object installations investigate workplace gender imbalances through the lens of a female member of the Alaskan commercial fishing industry. Together, their work reflects upon what it means to exist within community, highlighting undermined voices and embracing intersectional feminism as a core fundamental.
