Volunteering can be a powerful way to build confidence, gain real-world experienceand boost your wellbeing - all while helping others. At the Friends of the RUH we recruit volunteers for the @ruhbathfor a range of roles across the hospital, including on wards supporting patients, in our estates and gardening teams, in the shop and café, as well as in many other roles.

Our shop in the @ruhbathatrium is open 7 days a week and has all the essentials you might need, whether it be electronic gadgets, power banks and leads, #fathersday cards and gifts or food and drink, stationary, toys and much more.

One of the amazing things we're able to do at the Friends of the RUH is provide much-needed grants to the @ruhbath to support the #patient experience when they come into hospital. One of the services we've been able to supported is to provide music to patients. Here we have Frankie, the RUH's musician in residence, bring joy and happiness to people through #musicand #singing .

At the Friends of the RUH we are always delighted when our #donations to the @ruhbath make a real impact on the patient experience. We recently provided a grant to buy additional #wheelchairs to support people get to their appointment with as little worry and stress as possible. Alistair and Chris are two of a team of #welcome volunteers who are available to support patients get to where they need to go #thankyou both!
