Today is the last day of SPRING โœจ

โ€œLILITH.AEON was born out of grief. Out of the unusual silence that follows a loss, the way in which someoneโ€™s presence lingers in our memories, the things they touched, the sounds they made, the traces they left behind in a room.โ€ - AฮฆE

Through this intense experience, LILITH.AEON explores the new relationships we have with technology, particularly in light of the possibility of transcending biological mortality.

Today 13:00-20:30 at BAK

Get your tickets for the upcoming performances and be part of SPRING!

SPRING Performing Arts Festival โ€“ May 14โ€“23

In 2026, it will be presented as a festival-in-a-festival within SPRING, taking place from May 14 to 23. This edition marks the third consecutive year that AECFest is hosted within a major international festival platform, following editions in Italy (2024) and China (2025).

The current world situation is one characterized by economic crises, heightening contradictions, and fascist upsurge, both in the neocolonies and the imperialist heartlands. The situation calls on us to study and prepare ourselves to face the challenges and opportunities of these conditions. The JMS Legacy Foundation is excited to announce the launch of a compilation of Jose Maria Sison's writings on fascism - it's origin, development, and most importantly, how to fight it.

The book will officially launch on ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ, ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฏ:๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ-๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ:๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ (CEST) at BAK, Basecamp@bakbasecamp for Tactical Imaginaries in the Netherlands. This hybrid event will bring together reviewers and reactors from the Philippines, North America, and Europe, as well as local activists to share how they use theory to guide their practical experiences resisting fascist repression. Snacks, merch, and books will be available at the in-person launch.

These articles were originally compiled as part of a mini-exhibit set-up by the JMSLF during the fifth Theoretical Conference on Fascism in the 21st Century in the Imperialist Heartlands hosted by the National Democratic Front of the Philippines.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the JMSLF we are printing a limited-edition run of the compilation to help guide activists and organizers in responding to heightening fascism and increasing fascisation in the world today.

We are honored to have the artwork of the late people's artist Prof. Neil Doloricon (1957-2021) grace the cover of this compilation. We thank his family for generously allowing the use of his piece "Lockdown" to convey the repression, censorship, surveillance, and violence of the fascist state under the Philippines' pandemic lockdown - one of the longest in the world.

In this edition, Mire (@miremoschella) facilitates a multisensorial space to re-membrar (re-member), as part of the ongoing research project Rooting Otherwise. Within Multilingual Recipes, we approach recipes as a collective language, one that is spoken through bodies, the knowledge they carry, and their transmissions. Languages that shift across beings, and are continuously rewritten together.

Re-Membrar isspace to share stories, to rest, to read, to imagine, across territories, with fragments from Speaking to Nobody by Changli, Salt Traces by Fleur Carlier, and Rooting Otherwise. Opening a collective space of memory, stories that might touch, overlap, or remain apart.
In the second part of this experimental gathering, we will collect what has been stirred. Working with Kully Sara (purple corn) as an ancestral dye collaborator, we will paint and weave traces of these memories.

You are invited to bring your own stories, spoken, carried, or sensed, to become part of this weaving. We gather also in collaboration with non-human: seeds, rocks, caves, allowing these presences to shape how memory moves and settles.

16 June 2026// Thrilled to announce that the closing lecture of โ€˜Still Called Palestineโ€™ Lecture Series for this year will be delivered by Jasbir K. Puar.
ALL WELCOME: first come, first seated. Overflow room available. The lecture series will return in the fall.

Jasbir K. Puar is a Distinguished Faculty of Arts Professor in the Social Justice Institute at the University of British Columbia, Extraordinary Professor in the Womenโ€™s and Gender Studies Department at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa, and Professor Emerita at Rutgers University where she was faculty in the Womenโ€™s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department for 23 years. Puar is the author of the award-winning books: The Right to Maim: Debility, Capacity, Disability (2017), and Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times (2007). Her articles have been published in journals such as Social Text and South Atlantic Quarterly, mainstream venues such as Al-Jazeera and The Guardian, and translated into more than 20 languages.

Abstract: โ€œGenocide is not only about killing and extermination. It is also about forcing people to live a certain kind of life. It is this consignmentโ€”this coercive tethering of bodies and communities to lives shaped by siege, starvation, debilitation, and slow deathโ€”that conditions genocide as a way of life, as a continuum and not an event, as an accumulative process, and increasingly, as a sanctioned method of governance. This talk therefore discusses โ€œliving in genocide,โ€ and not โ€œliving through genocide.โ€

When it comes to migration policies, they are often detached from peopleโ€™s lived experiences. People who decide on migration policies are very often people who have no migration backgrounds themselves. Yet they consistently frame migration in a negative way, contributing to dangerous and harmful perceptions around migration. For those who are intersectionally affected, such as women with a refugee background, the situation is especially dire.
โ€ผ๏ธOne of the biggest policy changes in migration has been the EU Migration Pact, which sets out a framework for managing migration and asylum across the European Union, and will enter into effect this June. While there is a lot of discussion around the Pact, there is an urgent need to dissect it through a feminist lens: what does it mean for migrant and refugee women, as well as gender-diverse individuals?

Join @mosaic.collective.art monthly game and story sessions that make you feel at home!

When she was a child, Fatemeh used to play with rocks the knucklebones game. When it rained, she used sugar cubes she could find at home instead. Victoria played football using bottle caps and chickpeas. Athina used matches to solve puzzles.

Did you also use to play and invent games with things you would find at home? Which memories and stories do you remember of those?

๐—œ๐— ๐—ฃ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ง๐—”๐—ก๐—ง
Please, bring with you a game and a material (or object) so that we can use them in the session.

๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ
The working language is English. We can also provide clarifications in Dutch, Arabic, Farsi and Spanish.

These sessions will be hosted by the Mosaic Collective (@asiri70 , Athina Koutsiou fand @akoutsiou @victoriadelatorre_ ) and will be part of our ongoing artistic research into playing, (inter)cultural roots and collective affections.
