Life took a wild turn this year…Buzzing to announce that I’m hitting the road with Jamiroquai this autumn as their percussionist! 🪘🪇

This band shaped so much of how I play today. From the way I approach percussion parts, to how I think about energy and space within music. Their records were basically my textbooks growing up. To now have the chance to play alongside this legendary rhythm section is a dream come true.

The legacy of this percussion chair is not lost on me. Everyone who’s held the position is a hero of mine, and it’s a huge honour (and responsibility) to step into it. I hope to carry that tradition forward in my own way.

Last night was the first show in Barcelona and it absolutely kicked off! Lyon next…see you on the road!

My debut album ‘Babo Moreno’ is out today!

Released on my own label Matuska Records and distributed by @kudosrecords.

Alongside that comes my final single of the album ‘Sun City’. This is my tribute to Salvador, Bahia and carnival but more on that over the coming days. For now here’s my take on the album :

This record is me finding my voice not just musically, but culturally. Growing up in London as the son of Brazilian immigrants, I’ve always lived between two worlds. This album is a love letter to both. It’s rooted in the rhythms and spirit of Brazil but shaped by the energy of London and the global music scene I’ve grown up in.

Every second-generation immigrant carries a unique blend of cultures, each of us absorbing different elements from both our heritage and the world we grow up in.

Though our experiences are distinct, we’re united by a shared understanding of what it means to live in that in-between space. For me, making sense of that blend has been a deeply personal journey, one that’s shaped how I see myself and the world around me.
This album is the result of that process: a reflection of identity, growth, and the beauty of existing between cultures.

I made this for people like me, second-generation, in-between cultures, trying to hold on to something that feels like home, even if it’s constantly shifting.

London, I’m back after some R+R and ready to tackle this already bonkers year…what the hell is going on! 🤯

Anyways…I have news!

After many years working as a musician in London, I’m grateful to have played so many of the incredible venues this city has to offer but one stage has always eluded me…Ronnie Scott’s.

I’ve seen some of my favourite artists in the world there …Milton Nascimento, Steve Gadd, Spock Frevo and have spent many late nights hanging at the late shows, admiring londons great musicians.

To say that my first time on that stage will be fronting my own project and playing my own music feels completely surreal, and honestly something I never thought would happen, yet here we are!

Come say goodbye to this horrible weather and dance our way into spring on 19th March 2026.
