Few months ago we decided to postpone Makaan 10. Out of respect for what was happening in the region, it felt right to step back and stay quiet for a moment.

It wasn’t easy, but it made sense at the time.

Now we move forward, and we come back because, more than ever, it feels important to gather.To be around each other, to support one another, and to move.

For us, coming together is about releasing, recharging, and moving forward through sound.

Solidarity is the practice of standing together across difference ; not in opposition, but in care, respect, and shared responsibility.

Makaan records began as a platform to amplify unseen and unheard artists, rooted in the SWANA+ and MENA regions while remaining borderless in its vision. Today, invisibility is no longer regional ; within competitive and commercialised systems, many artists are still waiting to be seen.

The flyer reflects this state of waiting: for access, recognition, and belonging.

At a time like this, gathering together feels more important than ever. Being in a shared space with people who understand you matters.
