Don’t miss this. Chennai’s most immersive photography exhibition is on 🔥

The Chennai Photo Biennale International Open Call Exhibition is turning the city into a full-blown photography playground and trust us, this isn’t something you want to miss.

🌍 100+ photographers
🌎 37 countries
📷 9,400+ submissions → all brought together across the city

And here’s what makes it fun 👇
This isn’t just one exhibition.

It’s THREE completely different experiences:
✨ White-cube gallery at VR Chennai
🌿 Open-air show at OSR Park
🖼️ Intimate storytelling at Avtar Foundation

Three spaces. Three moods. One city-wide experience.

💸 Free entry
🗓️ Extended till May 3, 2026

So make a plan, pull up with your friends, and spend some time with the work.
Because some images hit different when you see them in real life ❤️

Grateful to The Hindu for highlighting our collaborative effort with the Avtar Foundation of Arts, the Aravani Art Project and the Anonymous Artists Collective in creating this mural celebrating the everyday lives and dignity of Chennai’s queer community.

This initiative reflects our belief that public spaces must celebrate diversity and affirm that equality and inclusion belong in our streets and neighbourhoods.

We’re delighted to announce that Himali Singh Soin (@himalisinghsoin) and David Soin Tappeser (@davidsointappeser) are invited to the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia: In Minor Keys @labiennale by Koyo Kouoh, from 09th May to 22nd November 2026!

The Avtar Foundation is honoured to support this presentation, along with @rmz_foundation and Foundation Henraux

Soin and Tappeser’s collaborative practice exists at the intersection of poetry, percussion and the environment. Through film and performance, they investigate the marginalised frequencies that resonate beneath grand narratives. By weaving together the geological and the lyrical, they invite us to listen to the planet as a witness, creating immersive environments that challenge linear ideas of progress and decay.

Presenting ‘Looming Bodies’, a one-of-its-kind exhibition by artist Lakshmi Madhavan (@lakshmimad_art) presented as an official collateral at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2025. Looming bodies is a labour of love that honours and spotlights the efforts and talent of the Balaramapuram community weaving artisans that materialise, trace, and manifest her vision. It is also the artist’s first project that involves photography, and seeks to question and address the nuances of the ‘Wearing’ and the ‘Weaving’ bodies.

Looming Bodies is on display till 31st March 2026 at KM building.
