Thank you so much to all the visitors that have shared their experience of Parkinson’s, or have offered kind words of support and understanding of our garden that’s on Main Avenue at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The biggest thanks has to go to my sister Julie, who allowed me to share her Parkinson’s story. It takes courage to put others before yourself, and her bravery allowed me to work with @parkinsonsuk

The second big thanks goes to @project.giving.back
This is a charity driven by people who understand the needs of others. With their financial support, but also their genuine care and humility they have given 63 causes over 5 years a chance to have a voice on the public stage of @the_rhs #chelseaflowershow
We are so proud to be one of the 63 exhibits.

Every single supplier and volunteer on this garden gave so much generosity of spirit it has been beyond overwhelming. I will give thanks to them all in quieter moment as I am still at the show presenting.

Big hugs to all in the Parkinson’s community and all supporters 💙💙💙

It is with a very heavy sad heart that I have to share with you that this morning Nigel Dunnett passed away.

His wife Marta has given me permission to put this on social media, as sadly she is unable to at this time.

I’m too upset to say more. But for those that knewhim well, you know we have just lost one of our dear talented friends and our beautiful world of plants and design will miss him sorely.

Please do let people know as his reach is global.

Rest well dear friend ❤️🙏🏽❤️

Today I was invited as a guest onto Saturday Live for @bbcradio4

Fascinating to hear about the work that Lindsay McKenna is doing saving abandoned and mistreated non-native wild animals. You can visit some of these animals at the sanctuary she set up in Herefordshire @wildsideexoticrescue

Critically acclaimed @nomadic_revery John Robins shared his story of how comedy found him at a young age and so did alcohol. Still doing comedy but no longer drinking his memoir is soon out.

Thank you Adrian Chiles for effortlessly threading conversation between us all.

Ready to play back on @bbcsounds

Parkinson’s is neurodegenerative disorder that stops dopamine being produced in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that affects our mood, and movement.

Gardening is a great activity for all of us, but It has some great benefits if you have Parkinson’s.

It helps increase the “feel good factor” and helps you to keep moving, stretching and using your hands for dexterous tasks. All of this vital to help people stay active and live well with Parkinson’s.

For more tips on gardening and wellbeing go to www.parkinsons.org.uk and follow @parkinsonsuk

In 1817, James Parkinson published his ‘Essay on the Shaking Palsy’, recognising Parkinson’s as a medical condition for the first time. His birthday is marked every 11 April with World Parkinson’s Day.

There are fundraising and awareness events happening all the globe to support over 10million people living with Parkinson’s.

But it’s not just today, the whole month of April is dedicated to the Parkinson’s community.

This year @parkinsonsuk will be carrying on the messages in May @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show with a show garden sponsored with huge generosity from @project.giving.back 🌷

We’re only two weeks away from starting onsite at the most famous flower show in the world. See you soon!

Taking time out on Easter Sunday to get some sun on my face. It’s lovely to cycle along the river. Catching the light dancing on the water always feels magical ✨✨✨

I hope you’re all enjoying some time with friends, family and getting out in nature.

If you’re having a difficult time right now - then I’m sending love and hope. 🙏🏽❤️

Good Friday riverside ride.
No music this time.
Just the sounds of overhead planes and nature.

it’s good to just listen.

Happy Easter 🐣

This weekend is the first time since I broke my ankle in August 2025 that I have been back on my bike! As you can see a bit wobbly filming alongside the Thames but it was joy!! Annoyingly I have damaged my other ankle whilst rehabilitating so being able to “go for a walk” is not very far at the moment.

Out on my bike covering distance felt like FREEDOM!

We must never take for granted our ability to move freely. And I mean that in all it’s connotations.
For those that are struggling I send love and light
