Earlier this week, I had the privilege of stepping behind the scenes at the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show before the gates opened to the public.

Beyond the breathtaking flowers and installations, what stayed with me most were the people behind the blooms. The growers, florists, designers, makers, and storytellers pouring love, resilience, heritage, and imagination into every detail.

Chelsea is so much more than a flower show. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, culture, wellbeing, and connection through plants.

And it felt like a reminder that gardening isn’t just about creating beautiful things. It’s about people, the environment, and the kind of world we want to live in. 🌿✨

At @The_RHS Chelsea Flower Show, designer Melanie Hick shares how The Bat Conservation Trust’s Nocturnal Garden uses wildlife-friendly planting to support the insects that Britain’s bats and other nocturnal creatures rely on.

From native plants and habitat piles to water sources, the space proves that our gardens can make a difference to nature, even after the sun goes down.

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this evening, The King and Queen joined the team who brought the garden to life, including Sir @DavidBeckham, @FrancesTophill and @AlanTitchmarshCBE. 🪴

The Curious Garden celebrates the vital impact plants make to people, places and planet, encouraging everyone to get curious about nature and gardening. After the show, the garden will be transferred to a college to help inspire young people to get into horticulture 🌱

Get curious about floral art with @hamishpowell 💐

Hamish created a special floral art installation for the Museum of Curiosities, in The RHS and The @kingsfoundation Curious Garden at RHS Chelsea 2026, designed by @francestophill.

Alongside roses by @david_austin_roses for His Majesty The King, Sir David Beckham and Alan Titchmarsh, the installation features The King’s favourite plants, Delphiniums, grown at @rhswisley for the occasion!
