We’ve had some new eyes around here thanks to our upcoming book, “The Happy Home: Layered Interiors for Joyful Living” with @rizzolibooks, my new collection with @pomegranate_inc, the @fenimorelane design summit at @mayflowerauberge and the #talkshoppod (hi!👀), so I figured I’d introduce myself 👋

I’m Ariel, the founder of Ariel Okin Interiors—a New York based, full-service interior design firm working across the country. AOI’s signature style can be interpreted as “traditional with a twist”—warm, livable and elegant spaces, with an edited, contemporary and practical approach. A smart use of color, an emphasis on clean lines, and a mix of bespoke and antique items are hallmarks of our work at AOI, yet no two projects are alike; I strongly believe every home should reflect its owner. 

I established my firm in 2016, and I’m proud to have been recognized on @housebeautiful’s Next Wave list, @luxemagazine’s Gold List, and as a @betterhomesandgardens “Color Star”, as well as to be named to @houseandgardenuk’s “The List” and @archdigest’s “Pro List”.

I’ve launched a few capsule collections, including a tabletop and home collection with @pomegranate_inc coming this September, wallpaper lines with @chasingpaper (more coming soon!) and @themuralsource, accessories with @onekingslane, and most recently, a lighting line with @mymitzi.

Separate from my design work, I founded a media company, @fenimorelane, in 2020, where I am Editor in Chief.I host Fenimore Lane’s design podcast, “Talk Shop”, and lead Fenimore Lane’s annual Design Summit at @mayflowerauberge. You can find the link in my bio for all three of those things 🔗

In addition to my work with Fenimore Lane, I am a regular contributing writer to Vogue.com.

Our current residential projects range across the country, from Los Angeles to Cold Spring Harbor, among others. I live in the suburbs of NY with my husband, two daughters, and dog, Charlie and feel so lucky to get to do what I do every day! 🙏✨ #arielokininteriors
