The exhibition presents a new body of work situated between sculpture and painting. Developed through the artist’s experience of living abroad, the works explore the idea of “home” as a space of memory, identity and belonging.
Having spent nearly five years in the United States after leaving Greece at the age of seventeen, Petmeza reflects on nostalgia and distance through a symbolic visual language. The goat becomes the central figure of the exhibition — an animal that embodies resilience and persistence, constantly climbing towards higher ground.
Through anthropomorphic goat figures, the works create a poetic narrative about endurance, transformation and the longing for an idealized place.
Magda Petmeza studied Fine Arts at Tufts University in the United States. Her work moves across sculpture, painting and photography, often exploring themes of memory, displacement and identity.

PULSAR
PULSAR draws inspiration from the cosmic phenomenon born after a supernova explosion, when a collapsing star transforms into a rapidly rotating neutron star emitting rhythmic pulses of energy across the universe. When something dies, something new is born.
Through concrete works, the exhibition explores the architecture of space and the nature of material as a carrier of memory, gravity, and transformation—a continuous pulse between destruction and creation.

SPASMATA
Glossolalic Remains of a Failed Translation Apparatus
A labyrinth of linguistic residues, organic forms, and meta-scientific classifications, it constructs a world where language collapses and matter acquires its own voice. Original beings from a post-organic realm appear as creature-objects that breathe, secrete, and coil—transcending anatomy and logic.
A laboratory of joyful errors for the devotees of the Codex Seraphinianus, the mystical sciences, and unexpected forms. It balances between poetry and scientific documentation, creating a peculiar meta-language that constantly slips away from interpretation.
An object-book that does not explain, but invites coexistence with the unknown.

SPASMATA
Glossolalic Remains of a Failed Translation Apparatus
