A labyrinth of linguistic residues, organic forms, and meta-scientific classifications, it constructs a world where language collapses and matter acquires its own voice. Original beings from a post-organic realm appear as creature-objects that breathe, secrete, and coil—transcending anatomy and logic.

A laboratory of joyful errors for the devotees of the Codex Seraphinianus, the mystical sciences, and unexpected forms. It balances between poetry and scientific documentation, creating a peculiar meta-language that constantly slips away from interpretation.

An object-book that does not explain, but invites coexistence with the unknown.

Ένα εργαστήριο ευφρόσυνων σφαλμάτων για τους λάτρεις του Codex Seraphinianus, των μυστικών επιστημών και των απρόσμενων σχημάτων. Ισορροπεί ανάμεσα στην ποίηση και την επιστημονική καταγραφή, δημιουργώντας μια ιδιότυπη «μετα-γλώσσα» που διαρκώς ξεγλιστρά από την ερμηνεία.

Το Πικάπ φιλοξενεί την έκθεση–παρουσίαση του βιβλίου SPASMATA, του τρίτου τίτλου των εκδόσεων TILT!, ενός ανεξάρτητου εκδοτικού εγχειρήματος που κινείται ανάμεσα στη σύγχρονη τέχνη, τη speculative αφήγηση και τη φαντασιακή αρχειοθέτηση.

Το SPASMATA (Glossolalic Remains of a Failed Translation Apparatus) είναι ένα έργο που αναπτύχθηκε σταδιακά σε βάθος πενταετίας. Αφετηρία του αποτέλεσε ένα ανοιχτό αρχείο περίπου 300 αφηρημένων ψηφιακών σχεδίων, παραγόμενων μέσα από μια διαδικασία κοντά στην αυτόματη γραφή. Τα σχέδια αυτά δεν αντιμετωπίστηκαν ως αυτόνομα έργα, αλλά ως πρώτη ύλη προς παρατήρηση, μετασχηματισμό και επανενεργοποίηση.

Στη συνέχεια, το αρχείο μεταλλάχθηκε μέσα από πειραματισμούς με τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, με έμφαση στη μορφολογική αστάθεια, τον ρεαλισμό και την υλικότητα. Από αυτή τη διαλογική διαδικασία προέκυψε ένας ιδιότυπος εικαστικός κόσμος, καθώς και ένα παράλληλο γλωσσικό σύστημα σχεδιασμένο να κατονομάζει, να ταξινομεί και τελικά να αποτυγχάνει να ερμηνεύσει τα ίδια του τα αντικείμενα.

Ένας λαβύρινθος από γλωσσικά υπολείμματα, οργανικές μορφές και μετα-επιστημονικές ταξινομήσεις, το SPASMATA συγκροτεί έναν κόσμο όπου η γλώσσα καταρρέει και η ύλη αποκτά δική της φωνή. Πλάσματα-αντικείμενα που αναπνέουν, εκκρίνουν και συστρέφονται εμφανίζονται σαν κατάλοιπα ενός μετα-οργανικού βασιλείου, υπερβαίνοντας την ανατομία και τη λογική.

Η παρουσίαση στο Πικάπ περιλαμβάνει επιλογή από τα αρχικά σχέδια, το ίδιο το βιβλίο SPASMATA, καθώς και τρισδιάστατα έργα που προέκυψαν από το περιεχόμενό του, αποτυπώνοντας τη μετάβαση από το ψηφιακό αρχείο στο έντυπο αντικείμενο και τον φυσικό χώρο.

It has a soft, rounded white body with small black bristle-like lines sticking out, almost like stylized fur or whiskers. Two elongated, tubular eye stalks rise from the top, each ending in a glossy black tip, giving it an alert, slightly curious expression.

Behind and around the body, there’s a large, smooth, curved yellow form that arches like a handle or halo, with a wavy decorative line along its inner edge. On one side, a bright pink, ribbon-like appendage curls upward, adding a sense of motion and fluidity.

There are also small, colorful spherical elements—turquoise and orange—clustered near the top, along with a black band and a thin purple stripe that suggest layered materials or accessories.

The whole piece has a glossy, plastic-like finish and feels like a mix between a toy, a cartoon creature, and a contemporary art sculpture—playful, tactile, and slightly symbiote.
