As we all knew would eventually happen, we’ve been handed notice to leave our Hypha Studios unit in June.

But not without a final goodbye!

ALL MUST GO. Our final show in the biggest gallery in Wales, shares the work of 3 Wrexham-based artists, our artists in residence over our time here.

We’ve had a fantastically hectic 9 months in this space and it has given us more opportunities and experience than we could have ever asked for. As always we want to thank @hyphastudios for the opportunity and for keeping the door open for us, supporting our curatorial journey and vision. Thank you to the 100+ artists involved since the start and thank you to the 1000+ visitors that have come through our doors. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We are pleased to announce our next TWO shows; us/together and SPLIT!

We have being working with emerging curator @leighhedd_art on their very first exhibition and it’s an ambitious one!

us/together delves into the multifaceted nature of human identity, intertwining the intricate theme of self-concept, the relationship between our conscious selves ‘us’ and the often-unacknowledged shadow selves ‘together’ and the impact the outside world plays in relation to these.

As usual we couldn’t just leave it there so @_ryan.saunders_ and @chloegoodwinart will be curating SPLIT

We have been very lucky to have been asked by the TURPS Banana Correspondence Course Cohort 24/25 to host their finishing show! We have another 50+ painters showing within our space from all over the world.

As always thank you to @hyphastudios for continued support and trust in us to do it again!

Hypha Studios has taken over their largest space to date. 15,000sqft retail unit in Island Green, Wrexham is being transformed into a multi disciplinary exhibition space.

His personal research focuses on how alternative art spaces intersect with radical education models, ecology, sustainability and new perspectives on arts education.

Datblygodd ddiddordeb mewn curadu ac arddangosfeydd trwy ymchwilio i Gelfyddydau Gweledol yng Nghymru fel cyfrwng o gof diwylliannol.

Through researching Visual Arts in Wales as a form of cultural memory, she developed an interest in curation and exhibitions.

For the last couple of months i have been working on a way to learn more welsh language whilst working with the Urdd. Secondary to that is to be able to facilitate others in that journey from varying points and stages.

I wrote in the zine that accompanies this workshop that I’m still learning and far from finished and that cannot be more true in all aspects of this activity!

I would like to share this with everyone possible no matter whether you dont speak one word or whether your first language fluent. There’s plenty to be shared!

Badge making is a quick and poignant way of wearing your learning with pride and without judgement, opening the conversation with others who may be at different stages in their journey.

Im so proud to announce ‘Casglu Geiriau’ yn Eisteddfod yr Urdd.

For the last couple of months i have been working on a way to learn more welsh language whilst working with the Urdd. Secondary to that is to be able to facilitate others in that journey from varying points and stages.

I wrote in the zine that accompanies this workshop that I’m still learning and far from finished and that cannot be more true in all aspects of this activity!

I would like to share this with everyone possible no matter whether you dont speak one word or whether your first language fluent. There’s plenty to be shared!

Badge making is a quick and poignant way of wearing your learning with pride and without judgement, opening the conversation with others who may be at different stages in their journey.

Making a few things ahead of the workshop this Saturday at @studio.made.

Aptly named by @rosie_wyllie we will be wandering, exploring and investigating Denbigh as a site for conversation, practice and process!

Weather permitting it’s looking to be an amazing afternoon 11:30 - 2:30 starting at the gallery!
