The Hidden Cameras ist das Musikprojekt des kanadischen, in Berlin lebenden Künstlers Joel Gibb. Im Luftschloss präsentiert er die Songs seines Projekts in einem intimen Solo-Set, das sowohl einen Überblick über sein bisheriges Werk als auch neue, tanzbare elektronische Stücke bietet.🎧

Mit dem aktuellen Album „BRONTO“ widmet sich Gibb seiner Wahlheimat Berlin und verbindet innovativen Meta-Dance-Pop mit Einflüssen queerer Clubkultur, die seit jeher Orte von Widerstand und Gemeinschaft ist. Seit der Gründung 2001 steht The Hidden Cameras für einen einzigartigen Sound zwischen „gay folk church music“ und Pop, der Themen queerer Liebe früh und eigenständig in die Musiklandschaft eingebracht hat.

The long-awaited new album is called Bronto and comes out Sept 12. The album was recorded over the last few years in Munich with Nicolas Sierig and mixed in either Munich or in Berlin. Very excited for everyone to hear! It’s coming out on LP and CD. Pre-order link in bio!

This UK documentary short is about a campaign against homophobia in football launched in the memory of Justin Fashanu, who as well as being the first black £1 million footballer, was the world’s first and only openly gay professional footballer who died by suicide in 1998.
