Vancouver based vocalist

📣SOUND ON📣 A short snippet from the score for @keeper.movie composed by @edovanb. It was such a thrill to be able to contribute to this body of work and to collaborate with such talented musicians @jeffrey.innes @aidenxayers @copyright_linda_fox
If I could do this work all day every day, I would.
Go see the film in theatres now and enjoy the twisted soundscape.
That’s my voice! Five years ago I wrote, produced, voiced zombies + goats, and sung this wild tune for the Plants vs Zombies : Battle For Neighborville theatrical trailer. Did it all with my wizard best friend Chris Kelly and my wildly talented wife, Jenn Bojm. Even have some sneaky lines in there written by local pen-master @daveshumka himself! I rarely share the more popular things I’ve been a part of over many years as an actor, comedian, writer, voice over artist, composer and musician. This video has over 15 million views on YouTube with flattering comments in the thousands about the song, the jokes, the voices, and I’ve told practically no one I know that it’s me they’re listening to. I love this kind of work and would always fill my entire calendar with it if I could!

Coming this FATHERS DAY! Our third lecture for EXTRA CREDIT! A fun and educational night out at China Cloud Studios! Bring your dad! Bring the whole family! TICKET LINK in @chinacloudstudios Bio!
Our third lecture features Dr. Edward Slingerland (edwardslingerland.com). Edward Slingerland is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Distinguished University Scholar and Professor of Philosophy at the University of British Columbia, where he also holds appointments in the Departments of Psychology and Asian Studies. He is also Director of the Database of Religious History (religiondatabase.org). In addition to a wide range of academic publications he has authored two books for general audiences, Trying Not to Try: Ancient China, Modern Science and the Power of Spontaneity (Random House 2014) and Drunk: How We Sipped, Danced and Stumbled Our Way to
Civilization (Little, Brown 2021).
About this lecture:
“Drunk: How We Sipped, Danced and Stumbled Our Way to Civilization”
Drawing on evidence from archaeology, history, cognitive neuroscience, psychopharmacology, social psychology, literature, and genetics, this talk will argue that our taste for chemical intoxicants is not an evolutionary mistake, as we are so often told. In fact, intoxication helps solve a number of distinctively human challenges: enhancing creativity, alleviating stress, building trust, and pulling off the miracle of getting fiercely tribal primates to cooperate with strangers. We would not have civilization without (gentle) intoxication.
This event falls on Fathers Day! Bring your dad and join us for some good music, community togetherness, and a warm - in person - learning environent!

EXTRA CREDIT returns with our second lecture!
We are very excited to welcome Dr. Mark Van Raamsdonk, professor of Physics at UBC. His lecture entitled ‘Quantum Mechanics: The Music of the Universe’ is not to be missed!
Mark Van Raamsdonk is a professor of physics at UBC whose research in theoretical physics spans quantum mechanics, general relativity, string theory, and cosmology. He is particularly known for his work connecting the physics of spacetime and gravity to the physics of quantum entanglement. He is also an amateur musician specializing in jazz
saxophone.
About his lecture,
Quantum Mechanics: The Music of the Universe
Quantum mechanics is the sometimes bizarre set of physics rules that gives our best understanding of how nature works at a fundamental level. In this talk featuring a variety of live demonstrations, Dr. Van
Raamsdonk will explain how a lot of quantum physics can be understood starting with much more familiar ideas from the science of music and musical instruments.
The evening will begin with a set of live music from Colin Cowan (Bass), Tyson Naylor (Piano) and Mark Van Raamsdonk (Saxophone)
DOORS 7:30 | MUSIC 8:00 | LECTURE 8:30

I’m very excited to Introduce a new educational event I am spearheading in Vancouver with the help of my ❤️ @colincowan
EXTRA CREDIT is a new lecture series presented by China Cloud Studios. We have invited prominent academics, from a wide variety of disciplines, to come share their research and knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to come learn and mingle with each other, and them, in the comfort of the warm China Cloud Studios environment.
Our first lecture features UBC professor Dr. Azim Shariff.
Dr. Shariff is a professor and Canada 150 Research Chair in the Department of Psychology at UBC. He directs the Centre for Applied Moral Psychology, which uses psychological insights about morality to better understand ancient institutions, contemporary social issues, and emerging technologies. He has presented this work at the Aspen Ideas Festival and TED, and written about it in Scientific American and the New York Times. He is a Kavli Fellow of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and a Member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars.
About his lecture - Does Religion Make us Better People?
Many of history’s greatest thinkers have tackled the question. Within the last 50 years, social scientists have turned to data for an answer. Dr. Shariff will take us on a journey through this evidence to see if, today, against the backdrop of unprecedented religious decline in Canada, we can finally hazard an answer.
Come join us for good music, community togetherness, and a warm - in person - learning enviroment!
