From the roots of Jamaican dub to the birth of UK dubstep, the sound was built on weight, space, and community. Known as the “ambassador of dubstep,” Joe Nice helped carry that sound beyond the UK in the early 2000s.

Deep, minimal, and bass-heavy—his selections on vinyl and dubplates stay true to soundsystem culture.

Mungk

Representing the new wave, Mungk brings pressure and atmosphere—hard-hitting basslines, dark textures, and forward-thinking sound design.

Rooted in dubstep, but pushing into new territory, his sound bridges underground spaces and the digital world.

We present the second installment of our small audiovisual series after a year of hiatus (pardon us). Started as an impromptu DIY venture, we understand that our underground roots is where the passion and sudden improvisation of creativity between likeminded people gathered in one place, so here we serve you for another sanctuary – this time, onto an exploration of low-end frequencies. Big and massive soundsystem, meditate to bassweight.

Promising an unforgettable neuro-ocular-aura with rattling physical vibrations – we bring you Goth-Trad @gothtrad (Back To Chill, Deep Medi Musik) will be joining the fray with his iconic deep, dark, atmospheric dubstep signatures and experimental sounds. Supported by our local brilliant basshedz. Representing the women empowerment championed with 5 women visualizers and MI/EN closing the night. To add, we sorted out a mini-exhibition featuring digital artworks from the brilliant minds of Bryan, cr.telur, Monameqa, Hingar, Ikki, and za(free) – showcasing works ranging from generative art and 3D graphics. As support to this phenomenal lineup and solid soundsystem, we have to charge an entrance fee - RM60 for pre-sale (till event day), RM75 for door sale.

SPectral Transmission EP - @____itznotme & @skech.sound

This two-track EP represents SKECH’s first full project, following his debut remix of Runaaki’s Nomad. Teaming up with long-time collaborator I.T.Z, the pair channel a shared vision of deep, meditative dubstep rooted in tension, weight, and subtle force.

"Ghaib" is a patient, stripped-back roller. Ghostly vocal fragments drift through a dense low-end fog, with carefully placed percussion and echoes drawing the listener into the unknown. It walks the line between dread and calm — a tune that speaks in silence as much as in sound.

"Jinn" follows with a different kind of energy — looser, more fluid, and ritualistic in nature. Rolling percussion patterns, warped FX, and cryptic vocal cuts build a hypnotic rhythm that feels like a séance through subwoofers. It’s tense, alive, and full of motion without ever rushing forward.

Spectral Transmission is built for the heads. It’s a release that sits comfortably in the shadows — not chasing the spotlight, but lighting candles in the dark.

Velvet Gloom EP - @____itznotme

Sir Dub Muzik welcomes back I.T.Z for his second release on the label: the Velvet Gloom EP. Across two cuts, he dives deeper into his darker side, blending heavy pressure with eerie atmospheres to shape a sound that’s unmistakably his own.

“Interzone” sets the tone with ghostly textures, sharp percussion, and a driving low-end that pulls the listener straight into its shadowy world. It’s cold, hypnotic, and built for the system.

Flipping over, “Ilmu Hitam” (Malay for black magic) brings a rawer energy. Menacing sound design and rolling basslines twist around ritual-like percussion, summoning an intensity that feels both ancient and futuristic.

With Velvet Gloom, I.T.Z sharpens his vision—two tracks that balance weight with atmosphere, and mark another step forward.

Gan D - "Born and raised in Malaysia now based in Haarlem, Netherlands. Back in 2021 I.T.Z and I decided to make a self released EP. The concept of it would be an A B side kind of thing. So one song from each of us. At the time I was making and experimenting with psychedelic sound design. I thought this would be a good opportunity to fuse dubstep with some psychedelic elements. Hence, the name “Hybrid”. Eventually, we finished the project and we didn’t really do anything with it. Two years go by and I.T.Z became well versed in the dubstep/bass/dub community in Malaysia which eventually made this release possible as Sir Dub Muzik provided us the platform to do so. Big up to Sir Dub Muzik for pushing the sound in Malaysia and also providing the platform to showcase the upcoming artist within Malaysia."

I.T.Z - "These tracks were actually produced & finished back in the year 2021, while Gan D ventured into psychedelic-oriented production. We thought it would be a good idea fusing Dubstep/Bass music with psychedelic elements for a new EP idea that we had, and that is how ‘Hybrid’ was formed. Inspired by ‘Hybrid,’ I started the project of my own, resulting in the track ‘Lost’. The name came from me feeling lost in the middle of production, specifically from the syncopated hi-hats & aggressive wobbling sounds, contemplating on how the project can be progressed, ensuring it remained danceable while turning it into a proper Dubstep/ Bass music tune of my own take. Although we initially planned to release the EP, we didn’t, likely due to insecurities. Recently, I shared the beats with the Sir Dub crew (big ups to Jony, Runaaki & Amirul), receiving positive feedback and acknowledgment."
